Default What were your first impressions of Keith after he joined the cast?

We know how we feel now, but take yourself back to when you watched episode when he came to dinner. My impressions was, "uh oh. Another impersonator/comedian". We have JJ and Bookman already. If he was level-headed like Larry, he woulda been OK. He was trying to be too funny at times.

The funny part was after he married Thelma, he became one of them: Poor and depressed

I was checking out the imdb site and I see that he turns 57 next month. If he's still around and reads sites such as these, I wonder how he feels that most fans didn't care for him at all. That probably why he's in hiding.

I've always loved Keith and Im glad he was apart of the show. He was fine as hell too...Anyway yeah he is 56..pretty old. I wonder what happened to him and I wish someone who knows him will tell him he has people on these boards and IMDB looking for him. I wanna see what he looks like now.

I liked Ben, I thought his character was so needed in the last season.

And I seriously doubt that he really cares if anyone liked or disliked a character that he played over 30 years ago.

I don't know what Bens' financial situation is, but according to what I have read, he hasn't had any television work in over 20 years. Maybe he said "the hell with television" and became a CEO or something.

^ Remember the dream JJ had about being white? I guess this is what the character Keith Anderson would look like white.

I thought Ben Powers was REALLY cute. Of course, no one could compare with Gregory Sierra ( ), but he was not bad at all. I don't blame Thelma for choosing him.

Well Irene, that's definitely not the Ben Powers from Good Times.

I think he did do a little more acting after Good Times went off the air, but not a whole lot. I didn't like him on GT because I didn't think he was all that funny........goofy maybe, but not funny.
