I remember years ago, I caught the last 5 minutes if an episode where they showed a video of their mother. What season was that? Did they ever show a clip of her in later episodes? Did they ever say how she died?

Their Mom, Pam died in a car accident, because of a drunk driver. It's mentioned several times throughout the series. (I'm pretty sure) she died 6 months before the First episode.... They didn't show any clips of her in later seasons.....There was a video tape that they watched of her. It was somewhere within the first 3 seasons.....Hope that helped....

Oh Yeah....I knew it had to be an earlier episode because when they were watching that tape, Stephanie still had that Fuzzy hair.

Throughout the show they just mentioned Pam died in a car accident, but then in the last season DJ told Kimmy that she lost her mother to a drunk driver and she didn't want to lose her best friend the same way.
I always get teary eyed during the videotape part at the end of "Goodnight, Mr. Bear." It makes me think of my own mom and how lucky I am to still have her with me. |
