Default So how many Diehards Cosby Show fans bought the EDITED DVD?

I'm waiting on season 2 which is not supposed to be edited. But I guess if you are a true diehard cosby show fan u would have bought the season 1 DVd anyway. So come clean and admit if you bought the EDITED DVD-lol

I know someone who bought it, but I'm not going to out him here. I didn't buy it because I think they may eventually come out with a correct version. It's a long shot but it's possible. I will buy the 2nd season though, if it's not syndicated versions.

Why would anyone waste their money on a edit DVD when they could just tape it off of Nick@Nite for free. Now if it were unedited then that's a whole different story.

I will only buy it if it has not been unedited. Maybe they should do like Roseanne. Listen to the fans and allow the next DVD be UNEDITED. Roseanne cared enough abt her fans to make sure they got what they paid for and expected!

The Cosby Show is my #2 favorite sitcom so I bought for that reason and also because I have to have everything complete I can't just buy for example seasons 2 and 3 and 7 and then stop, I have to have the complete series, and as far as I Know seasons 2-8 will be unedited

Why?

I read about seasons 2-8 in the thread about Roseanne:Season 1 at HTF. The Person said I hope AB does what UW did with The Cosby Show and listened to the fans about unedited episodes...

But remeber, some people don't have cable boxes to record their favorite shows. With my VCR, you have to use a cable box in order to record your shows. I have basic cable TV, with no Cable Box, so I can't record any shows. And, also remember, the DVD comes packed with behind-the- scenes footage and has The Cosby Show: A Look Back, which rarely airs anymore.

who's your cable provider? My aunt has cable with no cable box and she can still tape shows. You have to put your cable line into the back of your VCR box in the spot that says antenna. I had to go over to her house to set it up for her, it took some time but I figured it out.

My cable provider is Comcast. Well, my cable line is connected to the TV, so if we remove that, the cable is gone, and we are stuck watching fuzzy non-cable network TV channels such as ABC, FOX, NBC, and CBS.

check the back of your VCR there should be to coaxial cable hook ups one going out and one going in. If you put the one going in your tv into the vcr and then get another coaxial cable and put it from the out line into your tv, it should work perfectly. If you don't have another coaxial cable they cost about $8 for a 3 foot one at walmart and some grocrery stores...

You said exactly what I was going to tell her. And most dollar stores carry coaxial cable

Real TV Fans don't purchase TV shows on DVD to see Behind the Scene Footage. Behind the Scene Footage is supposed to be a EXTRA not a reason to pay $50.00 for CHOPPED UP eps.

Question for anyone who didn't get season 1 but plan on getting season 2:

If Urbanworks came up with a deal where if you buy season 2 you can get season 1 at the same time, for say something like $5 or $10 (no more than $10) to make up for the edits, would you get season 1?
