Default Why are we all so obsessed with the Bradys?

I know why I am.

It's because, in the 1970's, I was the only child of divorced parents, a classic latchkey kid from fourth grade on, and The Bradys were, quite simply, a fantasy family I wished I were a part of, but never was.

With that said, I want to know: why are YOU obsessed?

Furthermore, I want to know what to tell those who don't quite "get" why I am such a big fan.

Feedback, anyone?

I was 15-16 when I first saw the show at the start of the 90s. Too old to watch it perhaps. It replaced Bewitched in its timeslot and I, for some reason, decided to watch. I loved the opening credits straightaway and thought it was watchable. Watched a few more and loved the lettering of the opening credits, the house, the cast, the characters, the incidental music and the stories. With 6 kids you felt as though you could join in un-noticed. I also liked the fact that they ate together, played together and got along.

I think I was like a Junior or Senior when I watched the show in re runs and liked it... I don't know why I got attatched to it other than maybe cause I was living with my mom at the time and just needed something to hold on to..

That's a good question. I started watching the show a few years ago when I was sixteen, and I just got hooked on it. I was already really into retro pop culture, and this show just fit nicely with my likes. Soon I couldn't get enough of all the polyester and cheesy lines. I really love that sort of thing.

Also, I play the drums, and the first episode I saw was the one where Bobby wants to become a drummer. I could kind of associate with him when I saw how the noise bother everyone else in the house I'm happy to say I can play better than him though. (Sorry Bobby)

I don't know. I just absolutely am in love with this show. There is no reason for it....I just love it! It's just one of those shows that you can never get tired of, and that will always remain a classic.

My dad got me hooked onto the Brady Bunch since birth practically (as he did with 'I Love Lucy' too ). One of the first episodes I ever saw was "The Personality Kid". Where we have the well known catch-pharse "Pork Chops and Apple Sauce"!

It's because it was the only really good show about kids during it's time, and for many years. It was not on a level with Leave it to Beaver in terms of comedy, but there weren't many other shows about kids that endured the way it did.

Nowadays there are tons of shows geared towards kids and teenagers, on channels like Disney. I wish there had been more when I was younger.

For me, TBB was what Friday nights were all about, and the really good thing about going back to school was that there would soon be new episodes of Brady Bunch.

I was so disappointed when I found out there would be no sixth season.

But, you have to grow up sometime. It's just a pity that TBB ended before I outgrew it.
