Thumbs up WHY ROSEANNE IS BETTER THAN CLAIRE HUXTABLE thread...

I love Roseanne. I put her up there with I Love Lucy. I love the realism she brought to television. She was dressed up, dressed down and everything in between. She showed how alot of wives REALLY ARE. She didn't have a fancy house, yet her house wasn't so poor.
Roseanne was the boss most of the time. Her and Dan made a perfect couple. Her children were not "unrealistic". They dealt with issues that alot of us have gone through. They were not perfect.

Roseanne > Claire Huxtable

Here is my reasoning:

Roseanne is better than Claire Huxtable. No explanation needed.

There you have it!

Weeeeeell Ireeeeeeene, since you asked nicely, I'll try to list out some reasons as to just how MUCH more dominantly AWESOME Roseanne is compared to Claire Huxtable!

Roseanne is far more identifiable

She's way funnier, with a much more humorous personality

Claire has this sort of Holier Than Thou superiority complex, but tries to be so clever about it; Roseanne, however, will tell you just what she wants to say right to your face.

In the Huxtable family, every story of memory was fondly recalled as some sort of a classic love story. In the Connor family...everything and everybody was made into a joke with every chance, and I loved that.

Roseanne is better than Claire Huxtable because as Roseanne would probably say, Claire Huxtable is a giant snob, with an inferiority complex, and one giant stick up her ass!! That may be a little harsh, but remember, those are Roseanne's words, not mine.

I agree with everything that has been said here. Roseanne was way more realistic and down to earth.
