Default I can't believe how many tapes I have in my room

for the heck of it I decided to count how many VHS's I have in my room. Well I have 256, and that is just in my room. I probbably have another 200 in my family room, but I did not count those. The 256 includes retail and used blank tapes. I have them all over my room it boxes every where. I don't get how it adds up to that many. I am sure I have over 150 DVD's in my room. I will count those as well. How many tapes do you have.

Yeah, I've got a lot, too. I numbered and cataloged them up to 307, then I just started writing the date on the box.
I guess I have over 400 by now.
I started taping in the mid-'80s and have a lot of TV shows on tape. Also a lot of general current event things (earthquakes, hurricanes, elections).

I keep them in two closets and in a spare room (the same room with my Halloween display).

I have the same thing, but with comics.

And I do have a lot of videotapes and dvd's, but not over a 100, I guess...

I haven't even counted my VHS tapes. I don't think I want to know how many I have. I wouldn't be surprised if the # comes in at between 200 to 300. I need Rubbermaid boxes... I have some tapes that date to 1986, and one tape I got from another guy with ORIGINAL footage from 1978. My DVD collection numbers somewhere into the 130 range. I have original storebrought movies that are 20+ years old and still in pristine condition because we take very good care of our movies.

I've got at least 200 as well. I've never counted, but we moved last month and it was in the pain in the behind to move them. Ugh. Now my DVD collection is growing... probably over 150 now, but they take up a lot less space.

I have a closet with racks filled with them... stacks in the floor, and three of the drawers in my dresser are filled with them. Plus I have a couple under my bed with tapes in them.

Probably the same, if not more.

Ditto on the 3-drawer bit. My mom is always telling me that I shouldn't put anything heavy in my drawers. But do I listen? No. And my drawers are perfectly fine, thanks for asking.

I stopped counting my video tapes. I, too, have hundreds of 'em (both pre-
recorded and ones that I recorded), in three different rooms. But they're all
organized, in alphabetical order. The movies are separated from the TV shows.
The same with my DVDs (but, of course, I have a far smaller number of them).
I watch several tapes each week (and at least one DVD). I probably watch
as much (if not more) video-taped programming as on-the-air programming.
And when I watch a show that I taped ten (or sometimes twenty) years
ago, it's sometimes like seeing it for the first time. (Gee! I forgot I had that!)

My DVD player is part of my computer. But, lest you think that I spend all my
time in front of the tube (or the computer), I try to ration myself to three
hours a day (four hours a day on the weekend). I rarely watch more than
two hours in one sitting. What bugs me is that, since I've grown older, I
have a hard time staying awake! At least if I nod off during a tape, though,
I can rewind it to see what I missed.

I've got over 200 in my room also. It's not by choice though, my parents store all of their tapes in my room. I hate that.

I stopped counting when it had became too much. Then, I looked through the collection and started taking out the ones that I haven't watched in the past year. Ended up giving to Goodwill 2 boxes full and the rest to the trash.
