If I have one pet peeve, it is rudeness from people. At work, I have to deal with alot of network affilliates that are completely rude and nasty on the phone. You can't talk back to them, because it is my job, but man do I hate that. Also, before Christmas, I gave everybody on my shift a Christmas card with a lottery scratch off ticket inside of it. I gave everybody one, even some people that I hardly talk to. One girl I gave a card to, never even said thank you. She never even acknowledged that she got one, and I know for a fact that she did get it. What the heck is that? I wasn't expecting a parade or champagne opened in my honor for doing it, just a simple THANK YOU. I think it is the rudest thing in the world to give from your heart and not get a Thank You in return. How are these people raised? When I was growing up, I was taught to always say please and thank you.

I am a firm believer in sending thsnk-you notes. I think that this practice has kind of gone by the wayside. But if not a note, at least a verbal acknowledgement or thank you is in order. I understand your frustration Brian!

That's too bad Brian. I find ungratefulness is everywhere. I'm a generous person by nature, and all my life I've been a giver.
My niece turned 23 on December 7th. I sent her a beautiful card with a $100 check in it. Christmas week, I did the same thing. She called me on Christmas and thanked me, but I would have liked a call when she got her birthday gift three weeks before. I recently gave someone a nice gift and wasn't thanked at all. It astonishes me as to what these people are thinking. Actually, they're not thinking at all. I sent my husband's boss a thank-you card for his Christmas bonus. My husband told me not to bother because his boss was thanking him for a job well done. I told him that to not thank someone for a $700 bonus would be rude. I bought the card, wrote a little note inside and sent it. |

That is just horrible Janice. That is more than just rude, it is selfish and arrogant. It sounds like that person is a spoiled brat and a pompous ass! I presume people like that have horrible parents that probably spoiled their kids and never taught them a single manner. That's how I equate the girl at work. She was probably never told "no" in her entire life. I have no respect for people like that. You should have rescinded your gift. lol |

Another thing that bothers me are e:cards. I love getting them from my online friends, or from people in real life to tell me that they're just thinking of me....or even for small holidays, like Valentine's Day or St. Patrick's Day.
I've had people in my real life send me online birthday cards. I know it's the thought that counts, but it bugs me. I always make the effort to send a card. You can buy cards in most grocery stores. |

My parents could probably buy Hallmark with all the money they have, yet one my wedding Anniversary came up, not even a phone call. This past Christmas Eve, we finally recieved a 50 dollar gift card to a steak house saying, "Happy Anniversary" I swear, I think I was switched at birth.

yeah I agree with you.
Stuff like that happens to me all the time PERFECT EXAMPLE: Friday i overheard someone say they didn't have a pencil. I had a ton of them in my bag so I gave one to her. No thank you once so ever she just looked at me like i was crazy. I should have taken it back. I always try to make an effort to say please and thank you. Ask Karen. I give her huge thanks (karenfosterappritationthreadcoff) all the time for her blends and avatars she makes for meKAren Pwns you

![]() That really sucks Brian, but I know what you mean. I deal a lot with those kind of people at my movie theater. That's the worst part of my job. I really don't like it when I have to act nice and the other people just have no matters.
