Wouldn't It Be Funny If...???

Keep in mind that I'm stealing this plot device from an episode of Dallas, but wouldn't it have been funny if the last scene in the final episode was Richie waking up in bed at the Cunningham house screaming??

Marion and Howard run into his room. Marion asks "Richard, what's wrong?? Is everything alright??"

Richie asks "Where am I?"

Howard goes "At home, of course."

Richie goes "I'm not in the army?"

Howard goes "Of course you're not. You're living at home, still going to college and living here with us, your family."

Richie asks "What about Lori Beth?"

Marion smiles. "Oh, you two are so cute together."

Richie breathes a sigh of relief. He pauses before continuing. "Man, you wouldn't believe the dream I just had. Heck, it was a nightmare! Ralph and I got drafted and my dorky cousin Roger came to live in Milwaukee. Fonzie was a high school shop teacher and then...I don't know, I had this weird thing where I was punching Fonzie out."

Marion: "Richard, you just had a bad dream. A very weird bad dream, but just a bad dream, that's all."

Richie: "Does Fonzie have an annoying cousin named Chachi."

Howard rolls his eyes. "Unfortunately, he's real. I have to have a talk with your sister about him!"

Richie shrugs. "So I guess it was all just in my head, right?"

Marion: "Of course, Richard. Now why don't you come downstairs and I'll make you a nice breakfast, okay dear?"

Richie smiles. "Thanks, mom."

Marion leaves. Richie apparently still has something on his mind.

Howard: "Something bothering you, Richard?"

Richie: "Yeah. I didn't want to say this in front of Mom, but I also dreamt that I had a brother named Chuck. He went to college on a basketball scholarship and we never heard from him again."

Howard reacts sternly. "That is the most cockamamie thing I've ever heard, Richard!! Are you sure someone didn't spike your drink again - like that time you were riding Fonzie's bike on the front lawn at 3 AM in the morning??? You better get moving, Richard or you're going to be late for class!"

Howard, angered, abruptly leaves. Richie pauses for a moment to think about what he's said, shrugs and goes "Ah!"

or i got another one if they continued that part and Richie went up to Fonzie,s room tells him about the dream and he sees he got 2 woman in his bed and they talk and Fonz throws him out and next u see is Laverne n shirley in his bed and crowd goes nuts and Fonzie renjoins them.

I started watching Happy Days in late 1975 when it was first-run on ABC. I used to think that with all the girls, Fonzie made out an awful lot.

Years later, I realized that he was doing a little more than just making out.
