I'm in my school choir and I am interested, what parts would you people sing best? I am a tenor in my school choir. My voice is kinda high for a guy - LOL

BTW tenors don't have to be guys....my friend sarah last year was a tenor in the 8th grade choir.

Often times the tenor section can be weak so some altos are assigned to sing the tenor part. In our choir they're referred to as taltos

I was in chorus in 6th grade and the teacher put me in the soprano section. I don't know what the hell she was thinking because my voice has always been very deep. I'm definitely an alto.

mezzo soprano, but its not in the poll..

so i said alto since i sang that for awhile in elementary school.

Really? In my choir class, our teacher let us choose what section we wanted to be in.

i can sing everything between tenor and soprano, around E4 through C7. my choir teacher keeps making me sing alto for everything though, i was a little pissed when i found out that he's making me audition as an alto II for state regionals, because he knows i'm already singing a "high voice" song for it.

I was in choir for awhile, even though I can't sing for ****. In JH, I was a soprano, then I ended up an alto. I think I should have just been in the audience.
