Was Carol O'conner making a movie or have it put in his contract that he would only appear in a certain amount of episodes by the last couple seasons of All in the Family?

Are you talking about the season after Mike and Gloria left?

Actually Retro I was talking about the last couple of Seasons when Mike and Gloria were still on the show. I didn't know if they just wanted to do shows without Archie or sometimes the other charecters or Carol and even the rest of the cast had commitments outside of All in the Family?
