I found this article while randomly searching John Larroquette in Google News yesterday. This answers the question "Will there be any more McBride?"
Yes. Yes there will. http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dl...75/1007/LIVING |

I'm glad you found this out. I love "McBride". John is so good in it. I was beginning to get nervous that Hallamark gave John's "McBride" the shaft. I'm glad they haven't. Thanks for the info!

Thank ekkostar... I love the McBride series. I'm very happy to hear it's going to be back.
I agree with you Nitcrt1, JL is good in it! |

I kind of hope they downplay the whole Mac/Roberta off again on again thing and introduce some new characters. Maybe another female to mess with Mac's head.
The series is good, but it needs more dimensionality. I sometimes feel like Mac has three personalities: Serious, Flirty and Cardboard. Which leads me to another question... is it ever stated if McBride has a first name? Mac is the obvious nickname, but it's a toss between Jim and Michael. According to IMDB, it's Jim, but according to Hallmark's promo material, his name is Michael. A first name is never given in the series itself, other than on the nameplate at his desk that says "M. McBride", but what does the M stand for? Maybe he's McBride McBride, kind of like Wilson Wilson of Home Improvement. |

Yeah, I'd like to see some other female characters he can flirt with too. The whole Mac/Roberta thing gets old after awhile.
I agree with you. McBride's personality is everywhere. He's almost like a mystery himself. In ways, I'd like to know more of his background story. I like his partner. He's the tech genius while McBride is the old fashioned investigator. I think his first name is Michael. McBride is based on an actual series of murder mystery books. When these books are talked about they do mention the first name of McBride. I would check out one of the book web sites to find out...like a B&N, Borders or even Amazom. That might help. My complaint about the program is that the murderer is too obvious once the show starts. It wasn't like that for the first one. I had no idea until the end that is was the cop. I think I'd like more mystery in the mystery. |
