Default If there was an updated version of What's Happening...

I could see Dana Owens aka Queen Latifah playing the Shirley character. I can see her doing all the stuff that Shirley did and say and REALLY SCARE OFF THE GUYS...

Funny you should mention that, Irene-girl...Queen Latifah would most probably be great at being the "revived" Shirley. Attitude, height, intimidating come-off, and everything!!!

I don't see it myself. I'm just tired of remakes and retreads. I honestly don't enjoy movies as much as I used to. 20 years ago, I went to the movies frequently - there always seemed to be something out that was worthwhile, even the cheesy movies.

Now, I seldom go.

The only good remake was the Brady Bunch movies at the theatre, other than that, I don't understand the REMAKE CRAZE myself.

Should I mention the Honeymooners with Cedric the Entertainer, of all people. He used to be funny on Steve Harvey. Now he's corny.

Oh No Shows today aren't what they used to be, anyways...

Remakes or fresh-debuts, shows today aren't even CLOSE to being as enjoyable and genuinely humorous as they used to be, back when sitcoms WERE sitcoms and humor was natural.
Nowadays, it's more or less MANUFACTURED AND RECYCLED, past the stale and corny stages...

Another thing also is that sitcoms these days are just people ranking on each other and being the butt of other people's one-liners. I'm not saying old sitcoms didn't have that, but not to the degree they do now. It's just people insulting each other. Sometimes funny, sometimes not.
