Default Notice how Mike and Carol didn't have any friends

Except for the Kelly's. And that was during the final season. It took six years for them to finally have friends.

They mentioned another couple when they went to that costume party. Carol did have a friend Martha, though we didn't see her.

Mike seemed to be friends with his Boss at work. Martha was only talked about when they got the second phone I think. I don't remember her being mentioned again.

It seems they had lots of friends, during the episode where they wanted to help Bobby sell magazine subscriptions. Remember all the receipts Bobby threw down the stairs...must have been at least 2 dozen.

plus, they had that barbeque/mexican smorgasboard thing going with friends, and friends of friends, and assorted drop-ins, I think that was in the Jan Brady for most popular girl episode...

I'm thinking the only time we see Mike and Carol out with another couple is in the "Phil Packer" episode, but Mr... I mean Senior Calderone was a business client of Mike's...

and remember all those people going to the mexican dinner that Mike was gonna cook for all those friends BUT THEY (mike and carol) were not going to be there because of that thing with Bobby & Cindy, that damn contest.

For Jan most popular, i believe they were gonna go to the dude ranch and they were pissed because the most popular girl speech was scheduled for the same day.

Martha got another mention in "My Sister Benedict Arnold", the episode where the Bradys build a dunk tank for a school carnival in the B story. Carol says that Martha suggested the principal should go in the dunk tank. Mike then says that Martha should go in the dunk tank.

In "Lost Locket, Found Locket", Carol mentions an Aunt Martha, but I don't think it's the same person.

Carol also had a friend named Ellie in "Coming Out Party", the episode where Carol and Cindy have their tonsils out.

Let's face it: none of the Bradys had regular friends - only temporary friends who disappeared after the episode was done. Remember Marcia's "best friend" Jenny Wilton? She was only mentioned in one episode. Well, I guess Kathy Lawrence did appear in two episodes, but she was Marcia's enemy in the first one, so she still technically counts in the "temporary friend" tally.

It's too bad that Kim Karath, who played Jan's friend Kerry Hathaway (Cyrano de Brady, season 4 I believe...Pete flipped over her, but she flipped over Greg) couldn't have hung around the Brady household a little more than the one episode...what a doll !! She and 5th Season Jan would have made quite the dynamic duo!

In the episode "Every Boy Does it Once, when Alice learns that Bobby is planning on running away, and she doesn't know where they Mike & Carol are, Alice calls a couple named the Korngold's. This is in the 1st season. So I guess Mike & Carol were friendly with the Korngold's.

I think the Calderones were a last ditch effort to make new friends. When that didn't work out (thanks to the fiasco with Peter's mustache), they just gave up trying.

The Calderones lived in Mexico, though, so it could've been no more than a long-distance friendship anyway.

Well, maybe not that long...maybe they both lived near the border

I don't know how good of a friendship that would have been. As I recall, Mrs. Calderone could hardly speak English at all, although she could say the word "pizza".

But it does seem to me that Mr. Calderone was merely a client of Mike's firm (which is not to say that they couldn't still be friends)....

It really does seem like Mike and Carol didn't have friends that they socialized with. When they went out to dinner, it was usually just the two of them.
