Could you withstood a 7th season?

No. As much as I would've like to seen the Evans family, Willona and Penny enjoying their new digs, jobs, pregnancy, Good Times, to me, had ran it's course. And seeing them not being in the projects anymore wouldn't look right. Much like Laverne and Shirley moving to California.

Can you imagine some of the episodes:

Keith getting injured again playing for the Bears.
Thelma accuses Keith of cheating on her. He's a famous football player, you know.
Willona finally gets married.
JJ gets laid off because the company goes out of business, again. Much like the movie theatre.
Florida only appears in a handful of shows.
I don't know what to say about Michael. Maybe y'all think of something he will be doing.

Yeah but they would have been in a nice high rise apartment like the Jeffersons?-lol Michael proabably wouldn't have been seen in season 7 because that's the area of Chicago where Michael said blacks eat their chicken BROILED instead of FRIED-lol

No I could not had handled a 7th season of Good Times. The fifth without Florida was hard to watch and the sixth when she came back the damage was done. Plus she was not in half the episodes in that particular season. If the show had continued on Florida would had been in half of the season shows. The show ran its course and it could had gone down as a classic but with John Amos being fired and killing off James Evans, the friction backstage and the unhappiness of the direction of the show kept it from being a classic. Those first three seasons were priceless and entertaining. I remember looking forward to Tuesday nights at 8pm when John Amos would announce, "From television city in Hollywood;" then the burst out the theme. It is good for TVLand to bring back Good Times.

I know I couldn't take another season. I couldn't get through the episodes without Florida. I love it when James is there.

It's such a shame, I think. Such a fantastic show, undone by internal issues.

No, GT had run its course and it ended at the right time. It got a REAL finale, unlike Bewitched, Rhoda, and countless others, even as the ratings were sinking.

I don't think I could have gotten thru another season of GT. I would have liked to have seen Thelma going through her pregnancy, and that's about it. I don't think I could have stomached looking at/listening to Keith again.

6 was more than enough. The last season was horrible. The finale should have been an hour long and given Wilonna a different promotion other than the head buyer of the boutique.

I think if James would have stayed it could have last 9 seasons but they would have slowly moved up such as going to an apartment and eventually a house.
