Let's dance in style

I know this may be hard to narrow down for some folks (myself included), but I thought it would be interesting.
Personally, my list is: 1) Nirvana's Muddy Banks of Wishkah- live performances of their best work, the energy is great on this album, not to mention the fact that the songs are some of my all-time faves. 2) Blink 182's Blink 182- so many people think they sort of sold out on this album, but there is not one song on it that I do not whole-heartedly love. 3) Taking Back Sunday's Tell All Your Friends- another album where I love every song, Jack Nolen and Adam Lazarra where the perfect duo. 4) Alanis Morrisette's Jagged Little Pill- Alanis is the first singer I can remember liking. When the album was released I would have been in elementary school, but I honestly can remember hearing her on the radio and thinking that "You Oughta Know" was the greatest song I'd ever heard. 5) Ryan Adam's Rock and Roll- I love everything he does, but "So Alive" and "Burning Photographs" just rank up there for me. 6) Red Hot Chili Pepper's Californication- so many awesome songs that I love. The title song "Californication" has one of my favorite videos ever, and then no one can forget "The Other Side" or "Scar Tissue." 7) Pete Yorn's Music for the Morning After- He's style is so soothing, but also very different...."Life on a Chain", "On Your Side", "Closet" are all fantastic. 8) Nirvana's In Utero- So many great songs on this album, and it's less commerical than Nevermind, so it's a bit different, which I like. 9) Ryan Adam's Demolition- it's a bit more country than Rock and Roll but I love it. It doesn't get much better than "Cry on Demand." 10) Relient K's Two Lefts Don't Make a Right...But Three Do- The best Christian album ever, in my opinion. The songs are just uplifting, but in the same way are not only applicable to Christians. They cover everything from Jesus to just having a hard time, not to mention the humorous songs ("Chapstick, Chapped Lips, and things like Chemisty" has one of the funniest videos ever). All around great, feel-good album. |

You sound so surprised that we have similar taste in music. Remember we are Van Hunt fans. There are alot of albums I could have listed, but right now those are the top ten for me. I left off Angie Stone's Mahogany Soul, Van Halen's 1984, EWF'S Gratitude (one of the best live albums), and so on and so on.
