Bonanza's set
Does anyone know why so much of Bonanza's outdoors scenes were filmed in a studio instead of outside like most westerns of the time. It was very noticeable.

It was probably done to keep production costs down. Also, the characters never changed clothes, which allowed for the use of stock footage, another way to keep production costs down.
