Solved/Updates of Cases on UM Thread

How about we all post on this thread all solved cases that UM has profiled that we either know from UM or other ways so that when a newbie comes here they can go to this thread and look for the case update?? Maybe TJ can make this a sticky if we get a bunch of updates.

I'll start with one case:

Amy Bradley - Story of girl who disappeared on cruise line in 1998 while vacationing with her family. There was a potential sighting of Amy in San Francisco being directed by two men. The Dr. Phil show also showed an episode recently of a picture of a woman that I believe may be a prostitute in another country that Amy's family believes may be of her.

Daniel Paquette

This was the case of the man who was shot while working on a trailer. His mother was murdered years before and Daniel found her body. Thanks to Kane there has been an update on the case.

A man named Erik Windhurst has been arrested and charged with the 1985 shooting death of Daniel Paquette. Apparently he dated Daniel's stepdaughter and Erik was a teenager at the time.

The following link mentions that two anonymous letters surfaced in 1992, claiming that Erik Windhurst was Daniel's killer.

Dana Satterfield

She was the woman who was found murdered in her beauty parlor in South Carolina. A traveling saleslady came face to face with her probably killer outside the store and she said he was a younger, white male.

Her ex-husband was looked into as a possible suspect, but was ruled out, as he did not fit the description of the killer who was spotted fleeing the scene.

The name of the man arrested is Jonathan Christian Vick.

OMG, that was one of the scariest and freakiest stories I've seen on UM.

And it looks like they've caught the guy, all I can say is thank the good lord.

Racheal Raveer. Warren Fulton and Veronica Jefferson

Veronica Jefferson was a case profiled in the late 80s on Unsolved Mysteries. She was a CIA employee who was found dead behind a school. The cops thought she might know her killer/rapist and two people reported seeing her with a tall black man in a supermarket and a car the night she disappeared.

Racheal and Warren were sweethearts from Georgetown who were also profiled on UM. They disappeared in 1988 after a night out with friends. They were both found murdered in some woods.

The weird thing is both women were wearing red shoes.

DNA has linked both the killings to Alfredo Prieto who is on death row in California for another murder.

Some more updates..........

Mia Zapata - up and coming punk rocker murdered. Jesus Mezquia was charged with her rape and murder.

Devin Williams- trucker who drove his semi into a National Park acted strangely and disappeared. His body was recovered a few years later but they couldn't tell what his cause of death was.

Colleen Reed - woman upducted at car wash. Her body was eventually found and Kenneth McDuff was found guilty of her murder. He was executed for another murder he was convicted of.

Mickey & Trudy Thompson - Mickey's business partner Mike Goodwin has been charged with their murder.

Gretchen Burford - lawyer robbed and stabbed in her car near an ATM. Tyrone Hamel has been charged with her murder.

Donna Callahan - was one of the women profiled on the segment about people who had been abducted from FL conv. stores. Her killer was eventually found and convicted.

Alicia Showalter Reynolds - young woman whose car was found abandoned and her body was found two months later. Police think there was a man in the area trying to abduct woman and he is responsible. I'm not sure if there have been any arrests but Darrell Rice has been named a suspect.

Fred Russell - college student who was accused of driving drunk and having a crash that killed several teens. He fled but was recently apprehended.

Randolph Dial/Bobbi Parker - the deputy warden's wife who disappeared with a convicted murderer. They were both found alive and well several months ago.

Janeane Nicarico - the man who had confessed to her rape and murder years ago was recently indicted and will stand trial for the crime.

There haven't been any arrests in that case. Therefore, apart from some news of at least one or two potential suspects, the case is devoid of updates.

Miranda Geddis/Ashley Pond - 2 girls who disappeared within months of each other in Oregan who were friends. Earl Weaver has been arrested and plead guilty for their murders and both girls bodies were found in his backyard. He lived in the apartment complex that both girls did.


Doreen & Stephen Marfeo Case - Wife disappears from their house and the husband interviews for the segment claiming he is innocent. Some letters were sent to the police that were later determined to come from a typewriter of Stephen's family. In 1999 Stephen shot and killed his new girlfriend and then drove three hours to a isolated spot and shot himself to death. The police search the site for Doreens body but were unable to find it. She remains missing.

Regina and Margaret DeFrancisco - 2 sisters lure a ex boyfriend of one of them to their house. They shoot and kill him and then set his body and car on fire. Both have been captured and sentenced to life for their role in his death.

Carson Prince - was the daughter of a DA in Arkansas. Her car was found on the side of the road having run out of gas. Witnesses on a highway called 911 regarding a fight between a man and a woman in a car that led to the woman falling out of the car and fracturing her skull. She died later that same day. In October 2004 Stephen Tally walked into a police station and confessed to the crime and two others.

Jesse James Hollywood - 20 year old drug dealer that kidnapped and held a 16 year old brother for a drug debt his older brother owed Jesse. Days later Jesse and his accompliances had the younger brother killed. Jesse was tracked to Brazil in 2004 and arrested.

Lisa Marie Kimmel - Young lady driving to see her boyfriend from Denver to Wyoming disappears along with her car that had the Lil Miss license plate. People stated they had seen other people driving her car after she disappeared. In 2001 her killer and car were found.

Michael Ridenour - Young HS student that was drinking in a dugout with some friends when a group of men in masks approached them and demanded money. When they did not give them money one of them opened fire killing Michael. Mark Adams was identified as his killer. Adams escaped in 1986, but was captured in 1993. In 1994, he got into a fight with another inmate, and was shot to death by a correctional officer

Michele Catrenga and Grant Hendrickson - two young lovers who were killed in lovers lane after being shot many times. Grant was even pulled out of the car and shot more times. Eyewitnesses remember a blue car sitting on the shoulder facing oncoming traffic which made cops suspect the young couple might of known their killer. Andrew Cook, 24 and a son of an FBI agent, confessed to the killings and was sentenced to die in 1998. Andrew did not know the victims supposedly but rather stated someone other then him made him do it.

Jason Horsley - Man moves into new neighborhood and is shot by his neighbor Malika Giffen and killed. Malika was captured in June 2005 after being profiled on AMW.

Heather Tallchief - Accused along with he boyfriend of doing a bank heist in Nevada. She turned herself in in 2005.

Micki Jo West - was a young nurse from Missouri who disappeared in 1979. Seven years later, mysterious letters began turning up at various public places (including a movie theater and a shopping mall). In these letters, the anonymous author claimed to have seen a specific person kill Micki Jo West (even though her body hadn't been found). The alleged killer was named in the letters, but man's named was obscured when UM presented the letters on television, since, at the time, there was no evidence linking this man to West's disappearance.

A man named Marvin Lee Erwin was arrested on murder charges and he was the man named in the letter as West's alleged killer. He was charged with several murders, and confessed to killing Micki Jo West. He was sentenced to prison, and was believed to have been the actual author of the anonymous letters.

William Alex Wells and Mark Riebe were convicted of killing Donna Calllahan. I do not believe her body has been recoverd. They are also considered prime suspects in the disappearence of Pamela Ray who was the woman who drove down to Panama City with her two kids and could not find vacancy in any hotels and she went to go look for a hotel room and disappeared. Her two kids were found asleep in her car the next morning. Her body has never been located.

Patricia Snyder Carlton was found alive after 34 years. She was located in San Francisco. Her sisters have posted minor updates on the Teer surname board at Ancestry.com- apparently Patricia remembers her sisters, but she never did regain the rest of her lost memory. The family was reunited in October of 2004, though no details of Patricia's whereabouts during those 34 years has been released. Probably better that way.

The case hasn't been featured on UM in a few years (please correct me if I am wrong) so I'll recap: Pat Snyder suffered a brain aneurysm during the late 60s and lost most of her memory. Her husband left her and she lost custody of her kids. Later on she managed to put her life back together, at least partially, and she met and married Troy Carlton. Pat wandered off a few times over the year after she married Carlton, but she was always found safe. Then she vanished the last time she wandered off in 1971. She wasn't seen again until her location in 2003. According to her sister Barbara, Troy Carlton, who was featured in the UM segment, passed away and Pat is now a grandmother.

On the contrary, Donna's body has been recovered. Her remains were found in 1996. The case was featured in an episode of the Court TV series Body of Evidence.

Hello everyone,

There was a story just featured on UM this week involving Kimberly Pandelios. She was the young Cuban woman and part-time model who was happened upon by a witness in the Angeles National Forest with three unidentified men -- and later they discovered her remains.

Here is a link to the LA D.A.'s office announcing they indicted someone in this case in 2004 - but there is no mention of the three men the witness saw. I'd be curious if anyone else knows more about this story.
