Red face I might end up on the news......

I was trying to sell my small stereo in my neighborhood. I was selling it door-to door, and neighbors told me they didn't want it. So, I went to the next car(van) that was passing by, and asked the driver if he wanted to buy my stereo. He thought I had been selling a stolen stereo. He told me that he'd seen me going door-to-door, trying to sell the stereo and told me he had taken my picture. He even showed me the camera. Uh-Oh. Then he proceeded to follow me for about a block(after he'd said he wasn't going to buy it) until I said, "Can you stop following me? Bye!". (He had asked me where I lived after said he took my picture, and knowing that my house was just a couple of blocks away, and not being an idiot, I wasn't going home with him following me so he could see where I lived, which is why I told him to stop following me, because I was kind of close to home) That pic could end up on the news!

P.S.No one bought the stereo so I went back home with it.

No offense, but why would you go door to door selling a stereo?

Oh my gosh....that is really strange. I had a similar incident this summer while I was washing my car at a local car wash, these weird guys came up and circled around the car wash with a camera, and then they came up and like asked me some stuff....but I didn't answer any of their questions...I just tried to get away from them. Nothing ever came out of that deal, so maybe nothing will happen to you either.

If you need money getting a J-O-B might help.
Most people will think that you stole the item no matter what you tell them and the police might be called in to ask you a few questions.

you should try ebay, surely there's somebody there who'd want it, and you might get more than you'd get from a neighbor

i'm sorry, but in this day of time going door to door to sell your old junk is not only ridiculous, but very unsafe. I really do'nt blame the guy for jotting down your license number, but taking your picture and following you was a bit extreme for him too.

Like someone else said, if you need $ , get a job, and if you wanna sell your junk, have a yard sale or go to ebay.

I never said he took my license number because I was walking door-to-door.
