Default what kinda numbers does season 2 have to sell

for season 3+ to be greenlighted faster than 16 months? I also read that season 1's sales have held Facts Of Life and Silver Spoons back as well... so part of me is hoping that this pulls a MTM and season 2 is a success.

To be honest, I'm not crazy about early Strokes, I picked up season 1 because I want the latter years on DVD (well, up through 1983-1984). There's some decent early episodes, but the early ones are almost too much like a 1970's Full House, when Arnold stops being so cute all the time and Willis and Kimberly get a little older is when I really love the show.

What's Happening sold around 100,000 copies from what I've read, and they were released at a pretty good rate although it could have been faster.. I'd say anywhere between 75,000-100,000 would be a good number for them

do you think 75,000-100,000 is attainable? the way they talked about season 1 not doing well made it sound like it only did 10,000 or so

I always thought Diff'rent Strokes was more popular than What's Happening.. but I guess maybe not.

100,000 seems doesn't seem like that big of a number.. but it's very small compared to what a show like Seinfeld or Friends sells.

I would expect S2 to sell a lot more than S1.

hopefully you're right. One thing I know amongst DS fans, much like MTM fans (season 2 was much more successful upon its release than season 1 was) is that most people think the show got better as it progressed, so I bet a lot of people out there decided to sit season 1 out until season 2 and onward came out. Season 1 is fun, but the two season 2 episodes I remember quite well from N@N (The Rivals and The Hero) were better than anything from season 1, and I know just from here that I'm not alone in thinking that.

I hope it sells well, cause maybe it will get Who's the Boss? Season 2 released.

well, I'd say WH is more popular now because of TV Land but I think in the long term, DS was by far the more popular show, just consider 3 seasons to 8 seasons. EVERYONE knows at least "whatchootalkingbout Willis?" Both shows have their following but I think DS is probably the better known show between the two.
