Default Courtney Cox "Arquette"

I thought it was a riot that in the season opener's credits following Courtney Cox's marriage to David Arquette that everyone had the "Arquette" tacked on to their name.

The irony, of course, is that Cox has dropped the "Arquette" from her professional name. She's still married to David Arquette, but she said that when her father dies, the Cox name will die as well. She decided to take back her name and is now billed as simply...Courtney Cox.

I think it's silly these actresses who add on their husband's name to their professional name. Look at Pamela Anderson.

First, she was Pamela Anderson

Then, she was Pamela Lee

Then, she was Pamela Anderson Lee

Now, she's back to being Pamela Anderson. I read an interview where she said no matter what happens, she's keeping her name the way it is.

I'll betcha Jennifer Aniston is glad she didn't become Jennifer Aniston Pitt.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!

I thought it was kind of cool when they did that. It's funny that she dropped Arquette.

Especially since the credits on the DVD box sets read "Courtney Cox Arquette." Kind of foolish on the early seasons, because she wasn't married yet. Nit-picky?? Yup!!

I understand she wanted to keep the name Cox 'alive', she had such a strong bond with her father. But well only her showname is Courteney Cox, on her driverslicense and everything she is still named Courteney Cox Arquette.

Actually, in real life apparently she did go Jennifer Pitt - just the public never gets to see that.

I always wanted to see Tuesday Weld get married to Ted Knight. Then she would have been Tuesday Knight.

Ugh.

Years back, Valerie Bertinelli said in an interview that while her professional name was Bertinelli, it said "Valerie Van Halen" on her license. I don't know what's on her driver's license these days, but it's common practice for actresses to be known by one name professionally and another in real life.
