Besides Monty Phyton. |

it depends what you mean.... In the "let's get a classic old series and update it to the theaters" or in a "the cast is willing to all return and this could easily be big enough to do a film version of"?
in the first sense, no more. There have been great film-to-tv adaptations, like Fame, M*A*S*H, Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Alice, it seems like movie adaptations of TV shows usually play the nostalgic/camp aspect instead of seriously doing the series. Just look at the Charlie's Angels movies, they were so campy and over-the-top that they've really done a disgrace to the original series, which actually was nowhere as cheesy as the movies. In the second sense, there's a good number that could work, a Sex And The City theatrical film has been rumored for quite some time, even though Sarah Jessica Parker has said she doesn't have any immediate desire to revisit S&TC. A big-screen Buffy The Vampire Slayer movie (not counting the 1992 movie... most fans do not recognize the original 1992 film movie as part of the franchise) has been in talks for quite some time as well, and recently it's biggest holdout (Sarah Michelle Gellar) finally said she'd do one if the script is good (the show ended with closure, but with enough of an open ending that future movies could keep the storyline going). For older shows, something like Happy Days or Cheers could work bringing all the actors back onto the big screen. A Friends movie could work also (one was rumored awhile back) but I wonder how the actors will handle saying a line without the laugh track following each sentence out of their mouths. |

I'm hesitant to even think of any, because they always end up looking like the person who wrote the screenplay, cast the parts, etc, never even saw the original show. Plus, if one of my fav stars was in the show, I wouldn't pay to see someone else ruin the roll.
I don't know what ever became of the Hogan's Heroes movie someone wanted to do, but I hope they scrapped it. |

None. History has shown that it never works out so why mess with a good thing?
