Default What do you want changed on this season of AI?

Yeah. Title says all.

But ummm, I would like the 2 hour Top 12 week back. I didnt think the Top 11 week 2-hour performance round was really nessacary but I wouldnt mind for that to be back either.

And I want the halfway home special back (although during Season 3 it wasnt really a halfway home special). I liked those. It got us to really know the contestants well.

And during the auditions...SHOW MORE GOOD AUDITIONS DARN IT! They were better about it last year then in Season 3 I thought, in S3 half of the top 12's auditions didnt air and in S4, most did, but still, their funny, but too much of them for three straight weeks gets REALLLLLLY annoying.

Oh and yeah, could Paula NOT give a Standing O to every single performance?

Better Ford commercials! Season 2 had the best.

- Make top 12 week 2 hours. You can tell they rushed it, and it ended up being really crappy afterwards. We NEED to get to know the whole top 12 at this point not on top 6 night.

- Introduce each contestant in the beginning, like they did in Season 2. It's nice to see what each contestant is wearing before they perform.

- More choreographed group songs.

- After every performance, I liked it when they went over to Ryan on the side of the stage to talk and give out the numbers [they did this almost all the time season 1 & 2, rarely in season 3 & 4]

- Show more good auditions.

- Since they know who the top 24 are beforehand, they should make sure to feature each and every top 24 contestant at least once, for more than 30 seconds.

- Halfway Home Specials, definitely.

- No more "group A, group B" stuff.

Aww I liked this year's ford commericals Season 3's were ehh. I loved "Fame" though

David, what do you mean by the "group A, group B" thing? Is that the old semi-final format (the top 32?)

I agree. Season 4 was pretty good about it but with Season 3, I noticed half of the top 32's auditions...never aired.

Yeah I LOVED LOVED LOVED "Fame". They should at least have the ford commercials to where you can SEE the contestants. [The "Love Machine" (top 9) and "Holiday Road" (top 7) commercials were horrible. You could barely tell who was who]

And the group A/B thing, I meant the bottom 3 thing, where they put 3 in group A, 3 in group B, etc. I find the original way more suspenseful

Yeah, nobody knew who Jasmine or LaToya were until they performed. Kind of shocking when you think about it.

Oh lol. Yeah I agree.

I liked most of the AI4 commericals though. The rapping puppets one was HILARIOUS Some of them were kinda...meh..though. I loved the Rudy one during Top 5 week I think that one was my favorite

Same with Bo this season. He was barely shown during the Hollywood rounds.

Diana's audition wasnt shown either, was it?

Diana's was shown, but to be honest, I remember forgetting about her by the time the semi-finals came along, because she wasn't shown a lot during the Hollywood shows.

Really? I thought she auditioned in Hawaii though and I dled the Hawaii auditions and I dont remember seeing her. Hmmm. Ill have to watch again.

But yeah. They should make an effort to give the top 24 all equal airtime. I mean, Celena Rae and Aloha Misheaux weren't shown ONCE during the Hollywood rounds. Jessica was barely shown either, or Bo. In the episode where they announced the Top 24, they said "Bo Bice" and I was like...WTF? who's he?

Yeahh they did that on top 12 and 11 week of AI3. Then they just...stopped. I liked that though; It got you to know what order the contestants were going in.
