Default This is not the definition of Girl Bullying

On the Today show this morning they did a report on females in middle school calling other females ugly, or fat, or saying their clothes are not cute. I believe that is called-"teasing" not bullying. Bullying is being pushed around or having things taken from you

I would say that's more bullying than teasing, especially for girls. That's definitely a step or two above teasing.

It's definitely bullying. Bullying is considered to be habitually cruel or overbearing

Well they said the Females wouldn't really say it to their face, they would just giggle and point as certain females walk by. That's bullying?-lol

I would call that bullying. When you poke fun at someone without being mean or cruel then that wouldn't be bullying. Like, for instance if someone were to say silly dilly to someone, that's just teasing and not being mean, but if someone were to say to someone else something along the lines of pointing and laughing and calling them fat or ugly or some other name really mean then I think that would be considered bullying. Especially if it happens on a continual daily basis.

Name calling is considered bullying, just like nowadays snapping a girls bra is considered sexual harassment(when I was in school it wasn't considered that)

Well I always thought the defintion of bullying was being hit or shoved or having your lunch money taken. Being teased on a daily shouldn;t bother anyone because it's just a matter of having a good comeback. Find something about them to laugh at and if it's not anything about them that's funny, pretend that it is.

I think it doesn't feel like bullying to you because you're a guy. Boys usually bully by being phyical, but calling some one ugly or fat is definite bullying for a girl.

Yes I guess it's different for girls. Guys call each other ugly and fat all the time and no one thinks twice about it

It hurts just like being shoved to the ground. Used to happen to me a lot, cuz I was ugly and my clothes weren't "cool" and all that crap. And it hurt like hell.
