Default Season 9 Coming- Fact or Rumor ?

This is being reported in another site :

"12/27 - Holly, Alyssa and Rose signed for a 9th season, and what was their surprise when The WB's President gave them the oportunity to have a 10th season too. The girl's haven't said anything yet, they say that as long as the 9th season is good, they'll continue with the witchy work. 'This is real magic' said Alyssa Milano."

This is a German site, but it is being reported in English. I really cannot tell if this if a fact or just a rumor. See for yourself.

until WB confirms it, I won't believe it

During Buffy's final season in 2002-2003, there was word that got out that Sarah Michelle Gellar had just signed on for an eighth and ninth season and people thought that was the case for a few months, then suddenly SMG gave the interview to Entertainment Weekly that the show was ending.

However, I caught the season 8 premiere on Sunday and actually enjoyed it and think I'm going to start watching again, a huge step up from season 7 and even in the same level as the best episodes of season 6.

when you think about it, it kinda makes sense.

WB is already losing (100%) their all time biggest ratings winner, 7th Heaven in May. Charmed's ratings aren't what they were five years ago but at the same time, it still does great in its timeslot and Kern and the cast all love their jobs, that going on for a ninth season isn't that hard to fathom. At the same time, Gilmore Girls is expected to end next season as well, so if Rose, Holly and Alyssa still love what they're doing and the ratings remain about the same, then a possible tenth season like what WB is apparently offering to them makes sense.

However, I do think from a storyline standpoint that everything that can be done with the show has been done, and that they should end for the whole "going out on top" motto. It's like when Sarah Jessica Parker was asked why she wasn't going to do another season of Sex And The City, "I wanted us to go out when people still wanted another year, instead of going out when people thought we have stayed a year too long".

right now I don't know what to believe. Because there are different kinds of rumors going around about the show and the cast not wanting to another season or wanting. So I'm going to wait until WB confirms it.

I honestly don't know. Holly has said in interviews that she has made her decision to leave Charmed after season 8, and the show can't continue without her. We'll have to wait a couple of more months to see what the WB have to say.

Really? I dont quite believe it. I thought it will end after Season 8? Anyway, if there is Season 9, it will be great! If Holly is not going to act in season 9, the show won't be that meaningful already because i like her the best among the 3.

..just my 2 cents.

well, if Holly doesn't renegotiate for a ninth season, I think the show will be gone. Losing Shannen was one thing, the show was still not that old and there was still time to establish a new character in it's place. By this point, Charmed is definately a vet and very doubtful the writers would contemplate keeping the show afloat if either Holly, Rose or Alyssa said "I'm outta here". If the Shannen/Alyssa feud didn't explode until season 5 or 6, the show likely would've just ended instead of bringing Rose in.
