Does anyone know if she has ever been found it has been what I believe 5 years now and her family still has no clue as to where she could be.. I am almost certain that foul play was involve.. But I am not sure that the fiancé (Bobby Webster) was responsible. It is also funny that you don't hear nothing from him it is only the family that are still vocal about her being found. I mean what would he have to gain from it.. But it was odd how her Truck ended from the laundry matt in Richmond, IN and then later found in Dayton OH with the clean clothes folded in the back.. and how he was acting at the jewelry store trying to return that ring almost as if he was certain that she was not coming back. The Circumstances of Disappearance are very odd... Any body has any ideas?

i saw that one today, the fiance imo is probably involved. he was trying to get money back on the ring, and the wedding hall, plus according to police he failed a polygraph.

it was odd that her truck was found in a complex where her exboyfriend/babys father lived too.

The last time there was any news on the case was this past summer, when they acknowledged the fourth anniversary of her disappearance.

Because of her fiance's suspicious behavior after her disappearance, I suspect the fiance was involved. I mean, when he canceled the forthcoming wedding, in lieu of delaying it, something was amiss. To me, it's as though he knew Nicqui wasn't coming back.

The segment briefly mentioned that the cops are looking into other suspects, but no names were given. But that's not unexpected. As a general rule, when you're investigating a case, you don't want to be too quick to publicly name every potential suspect (especially when there's a complete lack of evidence against any given suspect).

I agree with most everything you said Mr. Clairvoyant about her disappearance. The fiance did things to make himself seem suspicious and I could see him parking her vehicle in the ex's parking lot to draw attention on him as a suspect, but what motive would be have? If he wanted out of the upcoming marriage he could have gotten out a lot other simple ways than abducting her and doing something with her. On the other hand I can envision a scenario where the guys that were harassing her at the laundromat abducted her. Wasn't she going back to the laundromat later that day? I wonder if those guys knew she would have to come back so waited for her. They could have easily overpowered her after she put her neatly folded clothes in the car and the three took off in her vehicle. It did say that apartment complex was huge where her car was found and it wasn't found in the parking lot by her ex's apartment so it could have been a strange coincidence and maybe the abductors lived there as well. It did also say that a stereo and other things had been vandalized in her car and this would seem to point away from the fiance as well. I don't have a clear cut idea of what happened and agree it is a very strange case.

the two mystery men overpowering her is problematic. that they would have waited specifically for her to comeback, even thought they didnt know if or when she would. its possible they were hanging around, and siezed the oppurtunity, so to speak.
someone would have probably seen this happen, or had at least reported the two men hanging around.

this to me seems like a random act.

Totally. That was completely suspect. This case is so sad. Did the UM episode mention that the boyfriend had any motives for Nicqui's disappearance?

Apparently not. If you read Niqui's profile at the official UM site, you will notice that the contents of the profile include the following excerpt: Some continue to speculate that her fiance had something to do with her disappearance. But what possible motive did he have? And what about Niqui's ex-boyfriend? He cooperated fully and passed a polygraph test.

The cops working on the case might have come up with ideas of possible motives, but didn't share them with UM or other media outlets.

I found a new article on the case. It mentions that yesterday (January 6) was Niqui's birthday. The article also discusses how Niqui's family has been coping of late.

If Niqui is alive she would be 33 years old. She was 28 when she disappeared in 2001.

Poor child having to grow up not knowing what became of her mother- or even where to find her! And, to think ,her aunts say SHE is their rock! I pray they do find Niqui soon and whoever is responsible for her disappearance gets justice meted on them!

TROTWOOD, OHIO — Officer Tommy L. Swint resigned under pressure from the Trotwood police Aug. 31 after a Richmond, Ind., detective informed local authorities that Swint is a suspect in the 2001 disappearance of Marilyn Renee “Niqui” McCown, city officials confirmed Friday.

Swint, 40, of Harrison Twp. was sworn in as a Trotwood officer July 16. He also was a corrections officer at the Montgomery Education and Pre-Release Center, a state prison, from May 1994 until he resigned effective Aug. 21. McCown of Richmond also worked at the prison.

“He was a suspect in a deal we had here and has been for many years,” said Capt. Greg Pipes of the Richmond police investigations unit. “We had tried to talk to him (about the McCown case). We haven’t been able to do anything with it yet. But we haven’t given up.”

Pipes said a Richmond detective visited Trotwood police officials shortly before Swint’s resignation and told them of Swint’s connection with the case. Trotwood officials said Swint was given a chance to resign or be terminated. Swint was a probationary employee at the time.

Public Safety Director Mike Etter said “it was a situation where he should have disclosed more to us up front (during his job interview). He may be 100 percent innocent.”

Swint hasn’t been arrested or charged in the case. He could not be reached for comment.

McCown, then 28, was last seen July 22, 2001, at a Richmond laundromat. On Nov. 3, 2001, police found her SUV parked at the Meadows of Catalpa, a Trotwood apartment complex where McCown lived in 1997 with a boyfriend. Her laundry was found folded on the back seat.

Pipes said Swint and McCown knew each other from working at the prison. McCown also started there in 1994, as an account clerk in the business office, according to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.

Richmond police have said they believe McCown left the laundromat and went to Dayton to meet someone she knew from the prison.

A single mother, McCown was attending Sinclair Community College and planning her wedding when she vanished.

Wow. That's quite a commute from Richmond to Downtown Dayton. I know where that apartment complex is. I don't know if that if UM filmed there or not for their story. The area did not look familiar when I watched it. I will have to watch again now that I know this information.
