Default Claire, let the man eat for crying out loud!

One episode that comes to mind is when Cliff and Claire have a bet that he can eat healthy for one day. When they sit to eat, Claire informs him that they are having salads while the kids are macking down on fried chicken (I think it was chicken) Theo walks in and tells the family that cockroach's mother made a delicious Jamacian dish. (Some kind of gumbo I think)Of course Cliff is salivating while he is being forced to choke down dry salad. Later he has Theo go back to his friends house to get a pot of left overs. What gets me is that when Claire finds it she tells him to THROW IT OUT!! WHAT?? How rude! Cockroach's mom cooks all day produces a delicious meal, and MS CLAIRE says to throw it out??? I mean you can put in the fridge and save it for the next day...but THROW IT OUT?

Also, those sandwiches he use to make looked sooooooo goood!!!! I know Claire cared about his health, just dont' be a stinkin nag about it!!

Here Here...Bravo...my sentiments exactly. I get the feeling that alot of people found Claire to be a nag, a whiner, a controller, something...

I too hated when she said that abt the food that Theo brought over. Since it was a bet, she should have let him eat it and say "She won the bet." I mean, the woman won just abt every argument, let's face it. Cliff already had been caught cheating on the "healthy diet for one day" bet so, let sleeping dogs lie!

LOL! I hated it too when she would wag her finger in the air and say "LET THE RECORD SHOW"....

Also, if he was having a problem with will power, she could have let the kids eat in the dining room so the real food wouldn't be up in the poor man's face!

Hmmmm, the only person Phylicia Rashad had any control over was the character Cliff. She apparently had no control whatsoever in her married life, afterall, SHE HAS BEEN MARRIED THREE TIMES!!!!

Don't you think it was rude in the first place to ask for the left overs? I mean maybe Cockroach's family wanted the left overs lol

It would have made more sense to have the kids eat earlier and then the two of them eat by themselves. I can eat a salad while everyone pigs out, but for someone who didn't have the willpower like Cliff, it would have been SMART, to do that, for the man she loves soooooooo much....
