Does anyone recall a segment about a young Canadian couple from Vancouver, British Columbia that were murdered while on vacation to Seattle. They were later found murdered, in separate places, in the Seattle area. The van that they drove was found and police found latex gloves and zip ties. When the bodies were found, zip ties were also found by the bodies. It is theorized that the couple met their killer while on a ferry as they crossed a lake, then were murdered in Seattle.
That case is so creepy and sad. The case is from an earlier episode of UM. |

Yes I remember it. The victims names were Jay Cook and Tonya Van Cuylonborg. I don't believe there were ever any arrests but some people think serial killer Charles Sinclair (dubbed the Coin Shop Killer) was responsible for their murder. He did die in prison though. I had wondered though since Tonya was raped if they had any dna found on her that they could try and match to Sinclair. I also wondered if they could try and match the handwriting in the taunting letters that were sent to the parents and see if it matched his handwriting.

That was the heartbreaking thing about this case. The killer wouldnt even let the victim's parents or family members have any kind of peace from this twisted event.

Yes, those letters!
It's been awhile, but I seem to remember something about "Sweet Jesus" and "The Michael Jackson Victory Tour". Damn, there are some major psychos out there. This case really made me sad.

I want to say that the letters said "Hallelujah Holy Jesus" or something like that. And I agree with the comment that stated that the killer wouldn't let the families of the victims get any peace. It's horrible when people feel the need to mess with others in order to get their jollies. |

I believe "Hallelujah Bloody Jesus" was the phrase used.

Yeah, that's it. I knew "Hallelujah" was in there somewhere.
