Leave it to Beaver in Color DVD. - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Anyone think it would be nice if they came out with all Leave it to Beaver seasons on DVD in color? I wish there was an option to do it on the season one DVD.

Sorry, but i have to disagree with you there. I happen to love black and white and think that LITB is best viewed that way. Seeing something in black and white kind of keeps it in an unreal, fantasy kind of state. Color makes it a little too real. I wouldn't want to see any of those old classic 50's shows in color.

I don't mind colorization of old B&W tv shows. Unlike some old movies, they weren't filmed in B&W for artistic reasons, but for practical and economic reasons. However, I imagine colorizing is still a rather expensive process, so I doubt we'll see it on whole seasons of tv show DVD releases.
