Default Keith Anderson...Xmas Party show...That guy

did a wonderful job at imitating Tony Bennett & Johnny Mathis. Damn!!!! He was sooooo good at that. Not only that, he had a very decent singing voice when he was singing in his own voice towards the end. I rarely see this episode because I don't like it...but watching it yesterday, I was amazed at his vocal ability. He gave Ralph Carter a run for his $$$$$$$$$$!!!!

That's why I never understand when I see people post that Keith wasn't entertaining. The man had skills

yeah he did. he should have been in the entertainment industry, but not as an actor...lol
maybe it was the way they had him on Good Times. The character was limited, he was boring. His skills were best when he was doing stuff like this xmas episode. Which, i believe was the best part of the episode.

I agree, Keith was very talented with impressions and singing not to mention the man "IN MY OPINION" was so fine...very good looking. He was 29 when he started out on GT. I knew he was a bit older than what he was playing but 29??? Him and JJ were around the same age. I think JJ in real life was a few years older than Ben (Keith) I really would like to see what Ben Powers looks like these days. If he's married, has any kids, Grandkids etc...

I know Keith gets a bad rap from a lot of people on this site, but I liked him. Any guy who is cute, nice and can sing is OK in my book. I too wonder whatever happened to Ben Powers. You never see him with the other members of the GT cast on TV Land award shows, etc.

Probably because he was a ADD ON late in the series and not there when the show first premeired.

Rumor has it that he is very sick. Haven't been able to find anything on him though.

Eventhough I feel that Good Times could have gone on without him, I do have to admit that he could sing.

Well, Johnny Brown (Bookman) was not on the show in the beginning, and wasn't even shown all that often until John Amos left. Janet Jackson was in that BET (or TV Land) awards skit with the three "Evans kids" even though she was only on the last two seasons. So it would make sense for Ben Powers to be included.

Johnny Brown and Janet Jackson was on the show for multiple seasons, Ben Powers was only on one season

True, but he was a major character in that one season. He also became a true member of the Evans family due to his marriage to Thelma. That should count for something, right?

In all honesty I don't think him or Janet should have been there. Only Bookman because he was there since season 2. I always feel ADD ON's late in the Series shouldn';t be on an award show. Bookman was a ADD ON but it was early in the series
