1. Vacation - absolute comedy classic, has withstood the test of time as well. I don't even know how many times I've seen it, all I can say is, its been a lot
2. Christmas Vacation - another riot and December favorite 3. European Vacation - was very disapointed when I saw this one as a child, it really wasn't so bad, it just was lackluster compared to the great first one 4. Vegas Vacation - had it's moments but the magic of the franchise had long passed it by |

1. Vacation- One of the funniest mmovies of the 80s, HILARIOUS one awesome classic, Ive seen this probably more times than the other 4, its awesome
2. Christmas Vacation- the best CHristmas movie ever Definentily a classic 3. European Vacation - Still hilarious, but not like the above 2, and Audrey was just too whiny. 4. Vegas Vacation - Some hilarious moments, but nothing like the first 3 |

I remember awhile back hearing that Chevy wanted to do a "Vacation Down Under", anyone else remember that? I suppose it's good nothing more came about it, the era of the Vacation movies have past (evidenced by Vegas Vacation, they weren't the same in 1997 as they were in the 1980's), let the classic ones remain classics

Vacation, and Vegas Vacation, because those are the only ones I have seen. I know, I need to see the other 2, and I will, sooner or later. That is what I have Netflix for!

I picked up the first Vacation, the 20th anniversary widescreen edition, at Wal-Mart in their oh-so-popular $5.50 bin, a definate steal because that set has been $20 for so long, however I got the only copy they had so you might have to travel to a few Wally Worlds (damn, I made a pun without realizing it) to find it.

has anyone else noticed the removal of "I'm So Excited" and replaced by another Pointer Sisters song "Little Boy Sweet" on the 20th anniversary DVD during the Christie Brinkley scenes?
Oddly enough, if you change the language from English to Spanish or French during the scenes with her in the Corvette, you hear "I'm So Excited" instead. Somehow it looks like they cheated the music rights people with that one

Christmas Vacation- by far, the funniest of the franchise; you got Aunt Bethany and Uncle Lewis, the parents, the great ensemble cast, etc.
Vacation- lots of funny stuff European- Pretty funny scenes (most of them), good acting, not as good as the first two though... Vegas- "Where's the damn bait?" Pat |
