Question Questions/Topics to avoid discussing with casual friends?

Are there ANY topics/questions you would avoid asking acquiantances and friends? I am not talking about best friends or boy/girlfriends but more so with people who are your casual friends either offline OR online. If so, which questions/topics would they be and WHY would you avoid discussing them?

I am what I like to refer to myself as "overly-nosey." I am naturally overly nosey, indeed. I actually thought about asking a friend of mine who isn't into dating for personal reasons whether or not he's ever been kissed before. He was quite busy and didn't reply only when he was about to get offline. I am thinking he didn't reply because it was not a type of question he'd feel the need to answer. It's not the fact that it's personal (I don't think?) because we have talked about MUCH more personal questions than that, so I was wondering why he didn't answer. I am not going to rehash this or nag him about it, but I am just curious as to others' answers to the questions above. So that's why this topic has me thinking. I just think that some people have different boundaries of what is crossing the line.

Sex/Relationships/etc. I don't want to know what people do on their down time and I don't want anyone giving me that "What the hell is wrong with you?" look because I've never had a boyfriend or anything. Quickest way to pissing me off is talking about that.

Religion. Always leads to someone telling me I need to reform or something.

Politics. Mainly because I don't always care.

Social Life. Again, people always end up criticizing me.

I agree with everything you guys said. I also don't discuss my financial situation with casual friends and I don't ask them about theirs. I hate when people I don't know that well ask questions about my mortgage or what my interest payments are, if I have credit cards, things like that.

Basically any questions about sex or dating. It's none of their business.
This also applies to relatives. This one really sends me into a pissy mood.

Politics and Religion: I could care less, boring topics, move on.

Finances: The only thing I won't discuss is how much I make a year.
nobody's business but mine.

Instead of realizing there might be reasons why I haven't had a boyfriend they assume that there's something wrong with me or .... They don't stop to think that maybe the reason I've never had a boyfriend is because, for the most part, no one has wanted to be, among other reasons I won't go into. Then there are the idiots that think that if someone isn't married or attached to someone that they must not be straight. Which is really dumb to think.

As far as religon I don't really enjoy talking about different things that have to do with it. Yes, I believe in God, but everyone has a different level of believing and they're not a bad person if they're not in church every Sunday. I haven't kept up with the latest when it comes to religion, or politics.

Politics is something I don't talk to people about because I don't keep up with politics and it's not the most interesting thing in my opinion. If someone tries to have a conversation with me about politics I end up sounding like a complete moron.

I guess I would have to get a social life in order to be able to talk about one, People give me a hard time because I don't have a lot of friends. I wish I had more friends, but it's annoying when you're given the third degree because you only have a few friends, or you don't have a boyfriend, or you're not on the "up and up" with religion and/or politics.
It's like, sorry if I don't care to just date the first guy that looks at me, or don't want to put up with jerks who try to change me...I've met so many jerks that's it's like, why bother looking anyway?

Plus I'm shy, so it's not I want to go out to a bar or something and talk to everyone. So many people don't understand shyness.

squeeze your mustard.

I don't get why people think they have to know your weight anyway. What are they gonna do with that info?

Politics and religion. As you can see, they're already pretty heated topics on this board, so imagine discussing them with someone else face-to-face.

Sex. Some bring it up, though, but I always end it very quickly. I don't want to know what my friends are doing with/to their boy- and girlfriends. I would picture it and... arrrgh! The horror!
