Recently I learned that my Uncles father was a congressman for Michigan for 18 years. I never got to meet him but I think it is very neat having somebody well known like that related to me. 18 years is a long time in office. Anybody else have well known relatives?

I think we're related [on my dads side] to Alexander Graham Bell. I dunno, my dads not sure. This is the man who told me we were French when I asked him what nationalities we were when I was about 8
. He denies it now!

Not that I know of. I did, however, have this friend in school and she is Josh Duhamel's first cousin...Their dads are brothers, so there ya go. I thought that was pretty cool.

I'm related to Ben Olsen (a professional soccer player) by marriage. He is my uncle's nephew on the other side. He's pretty well-known in the soccer world. He was on the Olympic soccer team, too. I've met him a few times and I've played soccer with him. loll, I'll always remember that because the game was boys vs. girls and he cheated, so he wrote my sister a note saying sorry.
And he was on the front of a video game! We have this in my house someplace.

Personally, I don't. But when I lived in Indiana I rented a house from the cousin of Ken Kercheval(Cliff Barnes on Dallas). Apparently he even visited a few times. Unfortunately not when I was there though; but I only lived in that house about a year.

My mom's cousin, Danny Bunz, played with the 49's and has a Super Bowl ring and my dad's uncle played with a famous cajun band and is in the Country Music Hall Of Fame. Off the subject abit, but my cousin's family used to live in Sybil's ( the lady with multiable personalities ) house back in the 60's. I remember visting them and the house had a creepy feeling to me. I had never heard of Sybil either. Before we girls went to bed upstairs that night my aunt warned me about my cousin waking up and screaming. I didn't sleep well that night. After they moved out her nightmares ended.

Well, my family tree is related to both the Hatfields AND the McCoys, those feuding families from West Virginia from a long time ago. I always think that most people have heard of them, but I'm surprised when I meet people who have no idea who they are.
Anyway, like 50 years ago or whatever, a Hatfield married a McCoy and then them and their offspring are all like my cousins or whatever. And no, I don't act like a hillbilly, so...yeah, don't even think it. Lmao Also, one of the attournies in the OJ Simpson case is like one of my distant cousins or something. And I have another cousin (one I actually know) who has appeared on World's Most Talented Kids or something like that, and she was also on The Jenny Jones Show. She's a singer, and when she was younger she was one of those kids who participates in pageants and all of that. |
