Default DOES TV LAND AND wgn HAVE THE ORIGINAL DELETED SCENES OF HAPPY DAYS

happy hoildays, hey i just have one question to ask you, and i am sorry if i had already asked you this but tell me, we ALL have happy days on dvd with all of the original deleted scenes that are not shown on syndication right, but tell me this, since tv land runs the show and has the rights to it,, do they have all of the deleted scenes that are not shown on the show due to commerical breaks, or does the paramount studios have all of the original deleted footages that are on the dvd

most likely TVLand and WGN just have whatever syndicated versions of the episodes that Paramount decides to give them, and they edit it as they see fit.

Paramount most likely does have the original, uncut versions of all the episodes, but who knows?

You know what I wish? I wish that tv land would show scenes thatWGN deletes abd vice versa until we have the whole episodes of the shows. There are several scenes that both networks won't touch and I am wondering if maybe we could come up with a list. One that comes to my mind is in the scene in "Westward Ho" in which Fonzie, Rich and Thunder ride into the sunset. I know that exists because I had that one taped for a long time until I accidently deleted it (bummer).

Merry Christmas!

Default deleted scene of the episode a potsie is born

there could have been a deleted scene like somewhere in the beginning where the band is done singing at the knew Arnolds, and another deleted which cou have been cut where richie, potsie, ralph chach and the fonz are leaving the resturant where potsie thought he was going to get that music break that he wanted, and right after they all leave, fonzie is taking down the sign, to me there could have been a deleted where right after fonzie takes the sign down they all return back to arnolds again and sing again that is what i think, again there could have been more deleted scenes that could have been cut, i thought whoever grew up watching the show on the original abc

Default TV Land in CANADA

Hey Guys- Merry Christmas. A friend of mine leaves in Canada and they have TV Land which shows different shows then we have plus the standards. He told me all the shows on TV Land Canada there including Happy Days are shown uncut which means to me that TV Land in America must get them uncut too. They just choose to make more money by slicing them up to fit more commercials. Happy Holidays- Russ

I can't speak for Happy Days, but I know in the past, I had taped syndicated versions of "Laverne and Shirley" from different stations and they were edited differently. Between the two versions, I may have had the whole episode.

Default i did that with welcome home pt 1&2

tbs use to air HAPPY DAYS in the 80s and 90s and thats how i taped most of my episodes then nick at night picked it up and than ofcoarse latter tvland but i said this at another time these tv stations are licenced to show the program ;they can edited it they can show it any way they want so its true some scences are shown some are not depending on the way they edited it.do they have the whole original episode maybe ,maybe not but they can only show it in the time alot ment they have.

I have the first season on DVD and what I noticed was that the episodes were 23 minutes long. I have timed the ones from tv and they average around 21 minutes long. What I notice is that WGN and TV land overlap some scenes. I see no reason why the duplicated scenes could not be deleted so that the rest of the episode could be shown.

Default the reason this is done is beyond me

all shows from the 60s and 70s we around 23 mins but when all these shows
went in to sydication they were cut by around 2 to 3 minutes apparently they need to show more commercials these days .you are right they could find a way to show the whole show but its not gonna happen.
