Back in the 1960s, at our house, part of the holiday tradition was watching
Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade each year, hosted by Lorne Greene and Betty White. They would comment on the floats, bands and those giant balloons depicting popular cartoon characters. They had good camaraderie, and I always felt almost like I was there. We didn't have home video tape back then (let alone DVDs). But I miss those times from a simpler era. Does anyone else fondly remember those shows? |
