Cliff and Clair eating cake.......

.....was the dumbest scenes that I have ever watched, period. I forgot what the episode was about, but I remember Cliff going back and forth into kitchen and returning with a cake each time and they both were sitting on the couch munching like a two pigs. Wasn't Clair always criticizing Cliff's eating habits?

You mean that's how they lived. A doctor and lawyer staying home doing nothing. Didn't they ever go out? I always hated the Cosby Show, but the hatred ran deep after that and the pregnant men episode.

I recall the Huxtables going out several times. Although, I must admit that considering Clair was a partner in a law firm, she sure had alot of free time on her hands.

I hated that they rarely showed Cliff at the hospital, or being interrupted during his "off-time". Doctors are always on-call and being bugged. I remember when i went into labor with my second daughter, my doctor showed up in a tuxedo because he had been at a formal affair.
Claire should have been shown more at work. They both gave the impression that doctors/lawyers have all this $$$ & free time and are never bothered.

BTW: When did Claire have time to be pregnant, raise kids and be in law school, while her man was in medical school/residency etc.
Man, that is too far fetch.
