I have a question

I know that in the first episode, it was revealed that Willis and Arnold's mother was Mr. Drummond's housekeeper for many years and on her death bed, she asked Mr. Drummond to take care of her boys, and that is how they ended up living there

but what was the story about their FATHER? what happened to him?

their father was already dead when the show came on.

their father was a janitor for the u.n. (united nations).

he died before the mother.

for the exact year, check the episode where drummond hires the tutor and willis can recall all kind of news events and sports stats for every year but the year his dad died...i think it was 1967?
