O.K. Now let's give the masculine cartoon characters their chance. Basically,
this is the same type of question: who is your favorite Disney animated hero? (A) Pinocchio ("Pinocchio") (B) Dumbo ("Dumbo") (C) Bambi ("Bambi") (D) Peter Pan ("Peter Pan") (E) Tramp ("Lady and the Tramp") (F) Prince Philip ("Sleeping Beauty") (G) Wart ("The Sword in the Stone") (H) Mowgli ("Jungle Book") (I) Robin Hood ("Robin Hood") (J) Basil of Baker Street ("The Great Mouse Detective") (K) Dodger ("Oliver & Company") (L) Beast ("Beauty and the Beast") (M) Aladdin ("Aladdin") (N) Simba ("The Lion King") (O) John Smith ("Pocahontas") (P) Woody ("Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2") (Q) Buzz Lightyear ("Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2") (R) Quasimodo ("The Hunchback of Notre Dame") (S) Hercules ("Hercules") (T) Flik ("A Bug's Life") (U) Tarzan ("Tarzan") (V) Pacha ("The Emperor's New Groove") (W) Milo Thatch ("Atlantis: The Lost Empire") (X) Jim Hawkins ("Treasure Planet") (Y) Nemo ("Finding Nemo") (Z) Kenai ("Brother Bear") Tough choice here, but I'm going to go with Tramp. The way he dispatched that rodent near the end of the picture (albeit mostly "off-camera") was pretty cool. He was also pretty clever to think of getting the beaver to gnaw Lady's muzzle off. |

I've always been in love with Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty.
Ah, my hero!

I rather go with Mickey Mouse as a hero. My mother is a Mickey freak. I like other Disney characters as heroes:
1. Donald Duck 2. Tramp - "Lady and the Tramp" 3. Prince Charming - "Cinderella", "Snow White" 4. Dumbo 5. Jiminy Cricket - "Pinocchio" 6. Aladdin 7. Dodger - "Oliver & Company" 8. Pluto 9. Sebastian - "The Little Mermaid" 10. Beast - "Beauty and the Beast" |

THE SEVEN DWARFS." He seemed a bit wooden and not particularly memorable. Of course, one has to consider that Disney was breaking new ground in what was the first animated feature. Prince Phillip, in "SLEEPING BEAUTY" (1959) was a vast improvement and a stronger character, I thought. The Prince in the film "CINDERELLA" was OK, but he really didn't have to do anything heroic because there was no strong villain in the story (which is not Disney's fault; that's the way the fairy tale was written). The closest thing to a villain is Cinderella's step-mother, who is never a real menace to anyone (except she overworks poor Cindy). |

I gotta go with Aladdin. Or possibly the Genie, who was the *real* hero of that movie...

stood on his own two feet instead of relying on the Genie's magic (although, to his credit, Aladdin was pretty resourceful even before he met the Genie). |
