Now taking a closer look into this episode, I realized why TVLand wasn't airing it. Herman willingly admits to becoming a bully, and also verbally threatens his co-worker Clyde. Even with all the practical jokes pulled on Herman, I think TVLand felt that Herman should have went to the boss, Mr. Gateman, and had it settled that way. Also, I think TVLand doesn't air this episode is because not only did Eddie actually hit another child, but Herman seemed to encourage it, Grandpa too. Lily also gets her fair share of violence when she knocks Herman over the couch, twice.
Another thing I want to address, is that any episode guide for Herman's Peace Offensive, somewhere it always reads, "Grandpa teaches Herman and Eddie to box". Even on the Season 2 DVD, it says "It's up to Grandpa to show them some unexpected moves to defend themselves." Not true at all. As a matter of fact, the only thing Grandpa does, is say "Show him a little speed, Herman", which is a referance to Herman punching the punching bag with Clyde's face on it. Ironically, there is a time where Grandpa teaches Eddie to box, but it is not in Herman's Peace Offensive, it's in Eddie's Nickname. |

I was contacted by TV Land to do something on my house. We where talking about favorite episodes. I mentioned this was one of mine and I didn't understand why they would not show this episode. She said she would research it and call me back. Yesterday she called me and the reason TV Land want air this episode is because of the of the part in the locker room where Clyde gets the electrical shock.

There are a ton of more worse scenes on Gunsmoke than Clyde being shocked. He didn't even get hurt bad. I really liked the episode, it was one of the funniest of the entire series.

I agree it is my favorite episode. Who knows why they pick one episode over the other as more violent.

Yes like I said earlier, some of the Originals they have done recently have had more offensive remarks and bad content than a episode of "The Munsters!" They don't make sense at all sometimes.
