Default How Do You Copy a Disc?

I am getting real fed up here. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I copied the DVD to my hardrive and got the VTS files. I put them in the Video_TS folder. I have Nero and I add the files in the folder to the project and when it goes to analyze the media right before it will add it it freezes up. I don't know if I am missing a step or what but this is really frustrating. Can someone please help me. Sorry Lamont, this will take longer than I thought.

why do you go though all that ... why don't you use disk copy on nero ... you place disk in ... it copies ... then it will ask you for the blank ,.. then burn .

the way you are doing it ,.. you are prob burning a read errored disk onto the hard drive ,.. then when you use nero ... nero will not copy though a read error.

that's what it sounds like to me . but then again ... i'm not a mental wizzard.

I agree. Or, if your operating system is Windows, you should be able to select the folders on the DVD & right click to copy, then 'copy to dvd' or something like that. You're doing too much just to make a copy of a DVD.

Well if its a homemade disk then its as easy as opening NERO choosing dvd. If you have 2 drives and both support dvd playback then put your source disk in dvd drive and the blank in the dvd-+ drive and choose the appropiate source/destination option and click burn. It will create the image first then burn the image on the blank and spit it out...simple. Now if you are burning a retail disk you own..Make sure you own it otherwise copyright laws apply. Go to afterdawn.com and download a program called dvd shrink. It works hand in hand with nero and it will remove in copy protection your disk might have and the program is free.
Step 1. Open dvd shrink

Step 2. Click open disc and choose what drive the dvd is in and click ok. It will analyze the disk too see the size and what copy protection might be on it.

Step 3. If it has any unrefrenced material replace it my clicking on it and then on the right clicking still image. If not proceed to step 4

Step 4 Click backup and it will remove protection and automatically send it to nero so have a blank ready and within 1-2 hours you should have a perfect copy of your original.

Again though you must own the original to do this. Mods if this was to much info feel free to remove it and I apoligize.

I don't have the full blown version of Nero so I don't know if I am some of the features mentioned. Its a homemade DVD so that should make it easier. I am going to try dragging it to it. Thanks for all your help.
