Default The Worst Game Show Hosts of all time

These guys were SOOO uncomfortable and clumsy as hosts, however they were very good at OTHER things....

JACK KELLY - original SALE OF THE CENTURY (also on MAVERICK)

HERB SHRINER - one of the many hosts of TWO FOR THE MONEY. Didn't look comfortable during any part of this program. (But his HERB SHRINER SHOW ran a long time).

TOM POSTON (host of SPLIT PERSONALITY - great panelist, good deadpan comic actor, bad game show host).

DICK VAN DYKE (hosted LAUGH LINE and MOTHER'S DAY. Very awkward in this venue, but of course he was a multi-talent in series TV).

FRED ALLEN (hosted JUDGE FOR YOURSELF - a horrible TV host, but a genius on radio).

GEORGE FENNEMAN (hosted ANYBODY CAN PLAY) - a great 2nd banana to Groucho, but hideous on his own.

I don't think she's the worst. I like her... but you are right that she can't top Regis.

But that show was hilarious.

The first name that came to mind was Louie Anderson. God AWFUL as Feud host. Could anyone look more disinterested? I got more enjoyment out of the Mexican version of Feud, and I couldn't understand a thing anyone said.

If it was on the Spanish channel, I'm guessing that the host was yelling frantically and acting like an utter loon the entire time, and meanwhile there were many big breasted, scantily clad women dancing around the set at various times for no logical reason at all. Am I right? Lol

For my choice, I'm going to go with that one guy who hosted (or hosts, I dunno if it's still on) the syndicated version of The Weakest Link. Sometimes he seemed like he was trying SO hard to be witty and insulting that he really didn't make anyone look stupid but himself.

The guy you're thinking of who hosted the syndicated version of The weakest Link was George Gray. He also hosted GSN's Extreme Gong. Louie Anderson was terrible as host of Family Feud. His voice grated on me.

I don't think Louie Anderson would have been so bad if he didn't look so tired when he hosted. A lot of the time he looked as if he had no interest hosting that show.

I couldn't agree with you more on this list. While there's a few I don't remember,I'll just "rant" on the one's I saw.Frist John Davidson;he should be ban from hosting any more game shows in his lifetime! As a celebraity panelish,he was okay, but he should have stayed as one. Also ban for life should be Louie Anderson.I rather watch people eat rats on "Fear factor" than for hin to host another show(and I [U]Can't stand[U] Fear Factor!).And so God help me,if anyone ever,[U]EVER[U] gets the cute idea that Jon "Bowzer" Bauman is a good host for anything,I will find that person, and force him or her 1 year in jail watching reruns of Full House;they'll beg to be put to death! And how in the anyone would think that Paul Rodriguez would make a good host for anything;I wouldn't let him call a chicken fight!!! Ross were okay and at least tried;Gordon Eilliot have no business in the United States more or less hosting a game show.Rolf and Bob the same, and as for the rest,I never saw the shows in questions, but I'll take your word on it!!!

OMG -THAT'S- THE NAME OF THAT SHOW!!

I had no idea for the life of me, but it's one of those things that when I saw the name, I IMMEDIATELY had a flashback of all the times I've seen it in my life.

I just want to know why we don't have Super, Gigantic Saturdays like that for an English-speaking audience.. Sometimes I find myself watching the Spanish one even though I don't understand any of it. But...well, it's not the kind of show you need to understand, anyway.
