that would be Pratt & McLain, assuming you mean "Happy Days" and not Bill Haley's "Rock Around the Clock", and I'm sure its out there, but I don't know how hard it would be to find on vinyl...
there's some info on it here: http://www.tvobscurities.com/pages/hit_theme.php |

I like it a lot better than the Pratt & McClain one. I don't know what it is exactly, but there's something about it that makes me want to hear it over and over.

It's a really great song. I saw a brief clip of the singers on a retrospective of American Bandstand. I think there were two guys with blonde hair singing it. Unfortunately, it reminds me too much of how the show changed when they started filming live and using it as the opening theme (not just the closing them), although the early live seasons were fairly good.
By the way, the version of "Rock Around the Clock" used in the opening theme was a new 70's recording by Bill Hailey and the Comets made for Happy Days. To me, it's just as good as the original and sounds amazingly similar. You can hear a difference in the weaker guitar solo, as the original guitarist had died. They also used an electric bass in the 70's version, instead of the stand up bass which had a swingier sound. The original 50's recording is heard at the beginning of the movie American Graffitti. |

I also remember that we used to think maybe Fonzie was one of the singers, because there was a strong powerful voice among the singers.

Pratt & Maclain's = Happy Days. To me at least. If they were to do a tribute to the show, as they did on the first TV Land Awards for other shows, I'd hope they'd have someone covering this song.

Pratt and McLain's version and I think that if it were redone for the 21st century, it might have a little rap part
