There is a scene in a season 5 episode where Thelma is talking on the phone and mentions to a friend that she was on a date with a guy named Keith. Could this be a continuity with Keith Anderson?

The episode in question is actually a 4th season episode, "My Son, The Father". She was talking about catching a cold from a guy named Keith, but she got distracted from the smoke from the beans burning, and hung up.

This could be cause, it's from the 5th season. We discover that Penny caused the couch to catch fire. And season 6 we meet Keith.

It may as well be Keith. I would assume that he and Thelma would have known each other for at least awhile before deciding to get married.

When he met Keith in Season 6, didn't he and Thelma say they'd only known each other a month?? Or maybe they'd only been dating a month. If that was the same Keith on the phone in Season 5, maybe they were only chatting as "friends" (with Thelma glowing). In any case, they never said what Keith's last name was in Season 5, so it's open to interpretation.
