Being deaf is almost hell!!!

I was just on the phone a little bit ago and my sister Jasmine and her friend were talking on the phone and Jasmine said, "Ugh, I hate my sister! She's always listening in my phone calls!". So then, feeling like hell, later I told me my mom. Guess what she said! Well, first Jasmine kept denying it and saying "I did not say it! Niki can't hear very well so she misunderstood!". And my mom belived her! I hate myself!!! Just because I'm kind of deaf, people use me to be mean to me (well mostly my sisters) and then they can lie and say "I didn't say that....Niki just didnt hear me right". I know Jasmine said that on the phone because I had the phone on SPEAKERPHONE and I heard exactly right! My own mom doesn't even believe me!!! Can my sisters torture me ANY worse?!

Sorry, I had to vent....I was feeling hurt more than ever.....and this has been bothering me for about 11 freaking years!!! Who knows, maybe in 10 years one of my sisters will pull up a gun to my head and theaten to give me something....then they'll tell the police, "OMG, we did not threaten her! We were just telling her about our new guns" or something really freaking stupid like that!

It's not just that, my sisters are ALWAYS denying what they say to about about me just because I have a hearing aid!

WHY did you go tattle tail on your sister for saying that, when you were sitting there eaves dropping on her phone call? Hearing aid or not, you don't do that... that ain't right.

I know exactly how you feel. I've been both hearing and visually impaired since birth and it sure is hell at times. People can just be so mean to you. The same thing happened to me back when I was in school. Kids would say mean things to me and when I'd tell the teacher, they'd say to her, "Oh, Kristen heard us wrong. We were NOT talking about her!" Then, they'd make fun of me even more.

Eavesdropping on someone's conversation is impolite though, hearing-impaired or not.

I have to agree with everyone else on this.

You were the one sitting there eavesdropping on her call, so you really have no place to be upset about what she said. You were upset, which is why you told your Mother.

So...I really don't think it's alright to be mad at your Mother for not believing you about something your sister said that she said BECAUSE of what you were doing in the first place...

Ok, most of you are missing the point....sorry it's my fault.....I was just giving an EXAMPLE of how it is! Mostly they'll say things TO MY FACE and then lie about saying it!

And yes, I admit it was rude to listen on her phone call. But can u blame me? I'm so freaking jealous of Jasmine that I'd do ANYTHING to be her! She has EVERYTHING! Everyone loves her because she's hot, cute (and our dentist even put up her picture in his office because she's so "cute"), she's popular, has a boyfriend, and everything else perfect u can think of!

Maybe I can be a little bit of help on this subject.

It's obvious what part of the problem is...you're envious of Jasmine! She has everything that you want and wish you could have. I'm guessing she's probably older and you're younger, right?

And all I can say is, don't worry. ^_^ Being the younger one, it's perfectly normal that you would see your older sister and wish you had the kind of life she has. And, more than likely, you can and -will- have it! All you have to do is just believe and think positively.

I'm even willing to bet that if you told Jasmine the way you really feel, she'd probably be pretty flattered and would maybe take you under her wing as kind of a mentor.

And again, don't -worry-! ^_^ I'm sure everything will work out just fine.

ok, look, almost every other thread you start has something to do w/ something else, but it always, somehow, comes around to your sister. Would you just stop obsession over her? Maybe if you'll just ignore her, be happy for her, and leave her be, you'll see htat you yourself can become what you want, become the person you want to be, if you'll stop worrying about what you are not. Your young, you have a LOT more growing up to do, and a lot more living to do. I know your sister is a bitch to you sometimes, but just ignore the little *******. If you'll show her that she has no affect on you, roll your eyes, and laugh at her immaturity, you'll see that you will soon have the upperhand. But most importantly:Chill out!

It may sound weird, but trust me, it's not. If you saw her or met her, you would even think she is older than me. Yeah, one of my sisters has a perfect life and I'm really jealous, and my other sister is just a jerk 24/7.

listen, just BUTT OUT OF HER LIFE. If she wants to grow up to be a slutty bitch, then so be it. You talk so bad about her sometimes, andt hen you desperatley want to be her? It's normal to be jealous of your sister, that's just par of the course, but you are borderlining on obsession. Just drop it. Concentrate on being your own person and stop basing your goals on her life. Good grief, she's what, 12 years old? You need to grow up. I know that I'm not exactly the most mature person in the world, but yeah. In ten years none of this is even going to matter. Why don't you listen to ANYTHING that people tell you here?
