I have always wondered if there were any updates on this case and I did search but found nothing.
This was the case where the parents were told by police that their son comitted suicide in his bed but the mother says it is impossible because she heard a door close and the light was turned on or off (I don't remember which) when her son was already dead acording to the coronors findings. The guy had been getting threats and one of his friends had tried to mediate but the other guy wasn't interested. The friend says the police never asked him any questions about who threatened the guy(I think his name was Tony but could be wrong) and there was some question about if the guy had been held down with someone on his chest when shot because of where the bullet went into the headboard and some bruises. I'm sorry that I don't remember all the details including the name but the last time I searched Google I did search the specific name and found nothing. I always felt really bad for the family and hoped they would find some closure. |

Yes, the guys name was Tony Lombardi. It seemed pretty obvious that he was murdered probably some sort of a lover's triangle as by all accounts he was quite the ladies man. I don't know of any updates. Maybe Kane or Justin can find something out for us with their vast research skills.

I am glad you remembered the name it was driving me crazy, thanks. I always wondered if the police were really that incompetent, lazy or if they were covering something up where this case was concerned. Do you remember what state this was in?

I'm thinking it was New Jersey but am not positive. I do remember that he worked in a factory involving baby food or something and his mother said he dealt with metal a lot and that was why his hands when tested showed positive.

Yeah. I also seem to remember something about the mother questioning the trajectory of the bullet... along with the placement of the gun as it fell. This was a creepy case, especially given the fact that the killer was in the house with the mother and she didn't know it.

What spooked me out about this segment was when the mother was going to the laundry room and the light was on and then going back to the bedroom and hearing the door close....the music UM was playing was classic spooky. I remember to this day her walking with her slippers down the hallway because of the music.
