Default North Country

Has anybody seen this movie yet? Charlize Theron is in it and so is Woody Harrelson, Sissy Spacek, Frances McDormand. The movie is about Charlize works at a factory in Minnesota and she gets sexually harrassed by men co-workers. I can kinda relate to this because i used to get dissed a lot at previous factory jobs i had by ignorant black men. I was thinking about seeing this when it was at the theatres but now i'm gonna have to wait until it comes out on video.

I wanted to see it, but it was a flop in the box office, so it's not in theatres anymore. It still got great reviews though, so I'll rent it when it comes out on DVD as well.

Yes. I saw it and loved it. Charlize's acting was amazing, and she definitely deserves another Oscar nod. Frances McDormand was also great in it.

Thumbs up

North Country came out on dvd today, and I just finished watching it. I absolutely loved it. One of the best movies of 2005, in my opinion.

Rent it, buy it, just see it. Charlize Theron is incredible. The movie is star-studded, and every one of them delivers a fantastic performance.

It's a true story too.

Being dissed and being sexually harassed are WAAAAAAY TWO DIFFERENT ISSUES. A man can never know what it is to be a woman and be sexually harassed.

Janice, you know I respect your opinion on movies, but how did your husband like it? A friend of mine said the movie caters to the female audience.

He loved it, and he's not easy to please. I don't really think the movie caters to women...maybe it does in the sense that the fight was for women. It's the same genre of movie as Norma Rae and Silkwood.

I saw North Country this past Saturday and it was very good. It was a deep movie and i hated the way those ignorant men treated Charlize and her female co-workers. That was messed up when Charlize got raped by her high school teacher when she was a teenager. She ended up getting pregnant by that creep.

I went to Blockbuster a few days ago to rent this film, but they were all rented out. The lady said it was going like hot cakes, and was one of the most popular films out on DVD right now. Hopefully they'll have it in a few days when I go back. I really want to see it.

I saw North Country a few days ago, and it is an absolutely amazing film!!! After seeing this movie, I honestly think Charlize Theron may just be the most talented female actress out there today!! She's definitely my favorite. Frances Mcdormand was incredible as well, and gave one of her best performances ever!! For anyone who has wanted to see this movie, but has put it off, I say go to the video store and rent it now!! It's extremely difficult to watch, but by the end of the film, you will be glad you watched it. For anyone with Comcast cable, it comes to On Demand on the 21st of this month, and I strongly strongly suggest that you order it. I don't think you'll be disappointed. It gets my highest recommendation!!!
