spinoff-"Grady". Back in 2002, TV Land celebrated Norman Lear's 80th Birthday and aired a episode of Grady. But the strange thing was there was 3 Grady episodes with Guest appearances by Sanford and Son cast members.
Aunt Esther, Woody, and Bubba guest starred in a episode of Grady Rollo appeared by himself in a episode of Grady Fred appeared by himself in a episode of Grady. So out of these 3 crossovers, TV Land airs the episode when Grady learns how to drive??_lol I only found out because I do tv research all the time and found out that there were 3 crossovers between Grady and Sanford and Son and TV Land didn;t air any of them. So hopefully this show appears on DVD someday. I was able to come up the Grady episode when Fred Guest starred by not the other two. I guess I'm saying all this to say-"TV LAND makes the dumbest decisions when it comes to airing TV Shows or episodes" |

. . . . BUT I have to admit that they drive me crazy sometimes with stuff like that!!!!! I don't understand why they have to do stupid things like that. It kind of irked me last week when they aired the Top 100 Most Unexpected Moments shows all week. That's fine. I'm not talking about that. What irked me was the fact that they immediately re-aired the same exact episode right after they just got done showing that episode!!!!! Huh????
And then to top it off they showed the episode AGAIN at midnight!!!!!!!! So, in essence, they showed the same exact episode a total of three times in four hours!!!!!!!!! Why in the world would they do an "encore" broadcast of an episode they just got done showing?!?!?! I know that TV Land is the channel that shows "re-runs" but THAT was taking the term "re-run" to an all-time new record!!!!! Signed, Respectfully, Dutch |

That TV Land Top 100 Unexpected Moments would have been a great idea to air on a Saturday Afternoon from 12pm to 6pm. 10pm during the week is not a good slot in my opinion |

Oh, I agree. A Saturday afternoon from 12 until 6 or something like that would have been better than immediately re-airing the same exact episode that they just played.
I watch TV Land because I want to watch classic TV programs like What's Happening, Sanford and Son, Bonanza, etc. I get tired of them having shows like "Moguls" and those "Top Ten" lists. Signed, Respectfully, Dutch |

I think Grady didn't succeed because, he didn't have the right supporting cast.

No Grady doesn;t have enough eps to be on cable. I think it was only a total of 12 eps produced. Grady was seen on TV for the first time in the summer of 2002 on TV LAND to celebrate the 80th Birthday of Norman Lear |
