Default I wonder if this Mystery Scene is on the Columbia House Version? If It is I will be

total shock. The scene from the season 4 episode-"Michael's Great Romance" when Michael says-"Yeah I'm in Love what good does it do me" Then Florida Laughs, and Michael says-"What's so funny" and Then Florida says-"i'm sorry baby it's such a releif" and right after it cuts to a new scene. Irene think long and hard and tell us what florida said when you watch this on CBS in 1976-lol

I am trying but for the life of me I can't remember... For some reason I think she says something abt it's a relief that all it was that was bugging Michael was the fact that he is in love...and Michael gets pissed abt it. I even see Thelma chuckling and saying something cutesy

The Columbia House tape has the same cut after Flo says, "it's such a relief."

I was thinking that cut was just a re-take when they were filming, and they didn't put the two scenes together good. I didn't think it was a line edited out. Seems to me Flo meant it was a relief that it wasn't nothing serious that Michael was mad about. After Willona says "Gramps you got your nose open again.", check out Flo, she has a look of relief on her face then starts laughing.

Here's an example of putting two scenes together good after a re-take....

In "Junior gets a Patron" when the family is eating breakfast Michael is in his pajamas and robe, and while Flo and James are talking they change camera views on them seamlessly, but one little mistake is that Michael is in his school clothes without leaving the table. Now they had to re-take this scene at some point.

Yeah I noticed that also, A lot of times they will add the live show that they actually tape on Friday nights with a show that they do a test run through, that they would do on like a Tuesday or a Wednesday in front of the crew. I posted on Tv tome (when that was the sites name) In the episode Spring Time in the Ghetto, the award that Florida wins in the end, is already hanging on the wall when Ned the Wino walks into the apartment for the first time, and it keeps appearing and disappearing over and over. So I think they take the best cuts and reactions and add them together

That's interesting, didn't know that they would use scenes from different days and try to blend them in. I never noticed about the award already on the wall.

Isn't this the scene when Flo says "what a relief" and then Thelma says "Oh my little brother is in love" etc.? And then Michael gets pissed and walks away.

What about the beginning of the episode-"The Mural" on Columbia House? Are Willona and Florida already talking when the episode starts?

Yeah that's the scene, but Michael didn't get mad and walk away, he started telling them about her.

Yeah, that's how it starts. Seems like as soon as it comes on, Flo laughs and the audience laughs and Willona says, "Working in that Boutique is an education."

I think it was just crappy editing, they should have had then do that scene over again.
