Does anyone know why TBS never airs Seinfeld in order???? I wanna start watching it again, but I have this thing where I can't watch shows out of order. Call me strange, but does anyone know why???

I'm not sure why, but the beauty of Seinfeld is that you can watch any episode at any given time without getting lost.

Thankfully, I'm in the UK and can watch all the episodes in their broadcast order on Paramount Comedy. However, the original broadcast order is different to the actual production order (this is the case with most sitcoms). The DVD's have the episodes in production order which, I believe, is the way they were intended to be seen.

I know that Lifetime do the same thing with The Golden Girls - they just show random episodes instead of following the original broadcast order. In the UK, however, LIVINGtv show all the Golden Girls episodes in their correct order.

It shouldn't matter anymore since the show is almost complete on DVD. I think it's 2 or 3 seasons left

1-6 are on DVD, you can get 1-4 in DDD's buy one, get one sale. I think the DVD's are worth every cent when you consider how much you get for your money, and it's great to have each and every episode uncut.

But like the general consensus says, I have to agree. Seinfeld is episodic as opposed to being like a soap, no matter what season you're in, George is going to be a narcissitic dweeb you hate to love, Elaine's shallow and stuck on herself, Kramer is going to be eccentric and nutty and Jerry's going to be the straight man who holds the glue together. That is part of the beauty of the show, there are a few arcs like "Jerry" and George's engagement to Susan but it's hardly like a season of Friends or something.

You think they were originally aired out of Order? I didnt think so. I know one of the earlier ones was, in season 2 I think, where George still had his job but he was fired in an earlier episode.

you're thinking of "The Stranded" (which has a very young Michael Chiklis), filmed for season 2 (and is on the season 2 DVD in it's production order) but for some reason didn't actually make it to the air until November 1991 during season 3, the DVD actually has the taped message Jerry had that ran before the first run of the episode where he explains that the reason George had a job when the episode was filmed.

Yes but I have to get Married With Children first. So it looks like I will be buying Seinfeld in Feb or March
