Wha'?? Gotta disagree. I ain't saying it's a piece of art by any means, but man, there've been Far cheesier songs than that. And actually, that was a huge pop hit. Silly, but huge.

When I think cheese, I think tunes like "Feelings".

well, huge doesn't erase the cheese factor. "Feelings" was a top 10 hit in it's day too.

To my ears, cheese is stuff like Celine Dion & the like. "Who Let..." comes across more like mindless fun.

Angry

The 70's was full of cheesy songs, Among the worst offenders:

#1. Seasons In The Sun - Terry Jacks
#2. Billy Don't Be A Hero - Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods
#3. Put Your Hand In The Hand - Ocean
#4. Feelings - Morris Albert
#5. Please Come To Boston - Dave Loggins
#6. Afternoon Delight - Starland Vocal Band
#7. *Muskrat Love - Captain & Tennille*
#8. You And Me Against The World - Helen Reddy
#9. 50 Ways To Leave Your Lover - Paul Simon
#10 Me And You And A Dog Named Boo - Lobo

*Make that any song by Captain & Tennille.:

I know theres a lot more but someone else can add to this list.

I like a couple of Helen Reddy's songs (Leave Me Alone, I Am Woman) and I will admit to liking "Love Will Keep Us Together" by Capt. And Tennille, but all in all, that list is on the money

Some funny choices up there. DEFinitely Rico Suave....
I'm thinking a couple of things:

-the idea of what cheesy *is* probably changes w/ the times

-there're 2 kinds of cheese: Lousy cheesy (the kind where you wanna switch the radio dial) & fun cheesy- where you Know it's bad, but there's something catchy & infectious about it.

As much as I HATED Who Let The Dogs out, I'd have to disagree with you on this. The song Come On Ride The Train has got to be the most corny song Iv'e ever heard. I remember when this song came out, and people would grab each others hips, and make a long train of people. It was so freakin corny!! I wanted to puke everytime I saw that!!
