NEW YORK, Dec. 1 -- WABC-TV is New York's highest-rated
broadcast station for the thirteenth consecutive rating period, delivering a
4.8 rating/11 share in DMA Households, Monday-Sunday Sign-On to Sign-Off in
Nielsen's Nov'05 sweeps. With each rating point representing 73,755 Tri-State
area TV households, Channel 7 attracts a larger audience than does any other
station in the nation.
Equally impressive is the "Eyewitness News" franchise's DMA HH win in
every local news race, a feat last accomplished in this market in Feb'98, and
coincidentally, also by "Eyewitness News." Across the day, "Eyewitness News"
is viewed by more New York Adults 25-54 than WNBC-TV's "NewsChannel 4" or
WCBS-TV's "CBS 2 News."**
Other highlights for ABC/7 in the Nov'05 sweeps are "Desperate
Housewives", "Grey's Anatomy" and "Lost" respectively ranking #1, #2 and #4 in
Primetime within Tri-State area households.

Their news does very bad at 5 and 6pm. Seinfeld and Simpsons do 3 times as better when the news is over.

ABC affiliates everywhere seem to do really good... always have, even before Lost and DH came along.
